Setup and Installation
Before installation, ensure your door meets the following specifications:
- Door thickness: 1-3/8" to 2" (35mm - 51mm)
- Cross bore hole diameter: 2-1/8" (54mm)
- Backset: 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" (60mm or 70mm)
Tools Required:
- Phillips Head Screwdriver
- Measuring Tape
- Pencil
Installation Steps:
- Prepare the Door: If replacing an existing lock, remove it. Ensure the door frame is properly prepared for the strike plate.
- Install Latch: Insert the latch into the door edge. Ensure the "UP" arrow on the latch is facing upwards. Secure with screws.
- Install Exterior Assembly: Route the cable from the exterior keypad assembly through the cross bore hole. Position the exterior assembly flush against the door.
- Install Mounting Plate: Secure the mounting plate to the door using the provided screws, ensuring the cable passes through the plate.
- Connect Cables: Connect the cable from the exterior assembly to the interior assembly.
- Install Interior Assembly: Attach the interior assembly to the mounting plate. Ensure the turn piece shaft engages correctly with the latch mechanism. Secure with screws.
- Install Batteries: Insert the 4 AA batteries into the battery pack of the interior assembly.
- Perform Door Handing Process: This step is crucial for the lock to learn the orientation of your door.
- With the door open and unlocked, press the "Lock" button on the keypad.
- The latch bolt should extend and retract. If it does not, repeat the process.

Operating Instructions
Programming User Codes:
The lock supports up to 16 user codes and one master code. The master code is used to add or delete user codes and should be kept confidential.
- Set Master Code (First Time Only):
- Open the battery cover on the interior assembly.
- Press the "Program" button once.
- Enter a new 4-8 digit master code on the keypad.
- Press the "Lock" button.
- Re-enter the master code.
- Press the "Lock" button. A successful programming will be indicated by a green flash and a beep.
- Add User Code:
- Open the battery cover.
- Press the "Program" button once.
- Enter the master code.
- Press the "Lock" button.
- Enter a new 4-8 digit user code.
- Press the "Lock" button. A successful programming will be indicated by a green flash and a beep.
- Delete User Code:
- Open the battery cover.
- Press the "Program" button twice.
- Enter the master code.
- Press the "Lock" button.
- Enter the user code to be deleted.
- Press the "Lock" button. A successful deletion will be indicated by a green flash and a beep.
Locking the Door:
- From Exterior: Press the "Lock" button on the keypad. The deadbolt will extend.
- From Interior: Rotate the turn piece to the vertical position.
Unlocking the Door:
- Using Keypad: Enter a valid user code or master code. The deadbolt will retract.
- Using Key: Insert the key into the keyhole and turn.
- From Interior: Rotate the turn piece to the horizontal position.

SmartKey Re-keying Instructions
The SmartKey feature allows you to re-key your lock to a new key in seconds. This is useful if you want to match your lock to an existing key or if you lose a key.
- Insert your functioning key fully into the cylinder.
- Rotate the key 90 degrees clockwise.
- Insert the SmartKey tool firmly into the SmartKey hole.
- Remove the SmartKey tool.
- Remove your functioning key.
- Insert your new key fully into the cylinder.
- Rotate the new key 90 degrees counter-clockwise.
- Rotate the new key 90 degrees clockwise again to ensure it functions correctly.

Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: When the batteries are low, the lock will emit a series of beeps and the keypad will flash red after locking/unlocking. Replace all four AA batteries promptly.
- Cleaning: Clean the keypad and exterior finish with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents, which can damage the finish.
- Lubrication: Periodically lubricate the latch bolt and deadbolt mechanism with a silicone-based lubricant to ensure smooth operation. Do not lubricate the key cylinder.
