1. Product Overview

The CUTESAFETY Child Safety Cabinet Locks are designed to help childproof your home by securing various household items. These adjustable strap latches feature strong 3M adhesive for easy, tool-free installation and removal, making them suitable for cabinets, drawers, refrigerators, ovens, toilet seats, and more. They are designed for simple one-hand adult access while remaining challenging for toddlers to open.

4. Installation Instructions

These locks require no tools, screws, or drilling. Follow these steps for proper installation:

1. Prepare the Surface: Ensure the surface where the lock will be applied is clean and dry.
2. Adjust Length: The strap length is adjustable from 4.1 to 7.7 inches. To adjust, slide the movable piece off the strap, set the desired length, and slide the piece back on. Note: Once the strap is locked into a specific length, it cannot be readjusted. Ensure the length is correct before locking.

   

3. Apply Adhesive: Peel off the backing from the 3M adhesive pads on both ends of the lock.
4. Position and Secure: Firmly press each adhesive end onto the desired clean surface (e.g., cabinet door, drawer, appliance). Apply pressure for several seconds to ensure a strong bond.

   

   

5. Curing Time: For optimal adhesion, allow 24 hours for the adhesive to fully cure before testing or using the lock.

5. Operation

The CUTESAFETY locks feature a press-and-slide mechanism designed for easy adult access:

1. To Unlock: Simultaneously press the two buttons on the locking mechanism and slide the bar to release the latch.
2. To Lock: Align the bar with the latch and push it back into place until it clicks securely.

6. Removal

To remove the locks without damaging your furniture, you can use the following methods:

• Hairdryer Method: Gently heat the adhesive pads with a hairdryer for a few minutes to soften the adhesive. Once softened, carefully peel off the lock.
• Dental Floss/Credit Card Method: Slide a piece of dental floss or a credit card behind the adhesive pad to slowly separate it from the surface.

Any remaining adhesive residue can typically be removed with a mild cleaning solution or rubbing alcohol.
