3. Setup Guide

3.1. Power Connection

The XTOMP mini requires a 9V DC power supply with a minimum of 300mA. Ensure the power supply is center-negative. Connect the power adapter to the DC 9V input on the pedal.

Connect your instrument (e.g., guitar) to the IN jack and your amplifier or next pedal in the signal chain to the OUT jack. The XTOMP mini features a single mono output.

The mobile app connects via Bluetooth, while the desktop app connects via USB.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Loading Effects

1. Ensure your XTOMP mini is powered on.
2. Open the XTOMP app on your mobile device (with Bluetooth enabled) or desktop computer (with USB connected).
3. The app will automatically detect and connect to your XTOMP mini.
4. Browse the extensive effects library within the app.
5. Select the desired effect and load it to your XTOMP mini. The pedal's LEDs will indicate the loading process.
6. Once loaded, the pedal will function as the selected effect.

4.2. Using the Footswitch and Knobs

The single footswitch on the XTOMP mini acts as an On/Off toggle for the loaded effect. The six transparent parameter knobs control various aspects of the effect, such as gain, tone, and level. The specific function of each knob will be displayed within the XTOMP app for the currently loaded effect.

5. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Hotone XTOMP mini, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Keep the pedal clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Do not expose the pedal to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight.

• When not in use for extended periods, disconnect the power supply.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your XTOMP mini, consider the following common solutions:

• No Power/Lights: Ensure the correct 9V DC, center-negative power supply with at least 300mA is used and securely connected.
• Bluetooth Connection Issues:
• Verify Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device.
• Ensure the XTOMP mini is powered on.
• Try power-cycling the pedal (unplug and replug power).

• No Sound/Incorrect Sound:

• Effect Loading Delays: Some complex effects may take longer to load. Ensure a stable Bluetooth or USB connection during the loading process.
• Limited Effect Compatibility: Note that the XTOMP mini version may not support all patches, combo effects, or specific effects like the noise gate, which are available on the full-size XTOMP pedal.
• No Stereo Output: The XTOMP mini features a mono output only.
