4. Setup Instructions
Follow these steps for proper pool assembly. It is recommended to have at least two adults for assembly.
4.1 Site Preparation
- Select a firm, level area for the pool. The ground must be completely flat to prevent structural stress and potential collapse.
- Clear the area of any sharp objects, debris, or vegetation.
- Spread the included ground cloth over the prepared area. This provides additional protection for the pool liner.
4.2 Frame Assembly
The innovative T-Joint design allows for quick assembly without tools.
- Lay out the pool liner on top of the ground cloth, ensuring the drain plug is positioned correctly for future draining.
- Assemble the horizontal beams and vertical legs according to the diagrams provided in the separate assembly guide. Insert the T-Joints to connect the frame pieces.
- Ensure all frame pieces are securely connected and the frame forms a perfect circle.

4.3 Filling the Pool
- Begin filling the pool with a few inches of water.
- Smooth out any wrinkles in the bottom of the liner by pushing them towards the outer edge.
- Continue filling the pool to the recommended water level, typically just below the filter pump intake/outlet connections.
4.4 Filter Pump and Ladder Installation
- Connect the Krystal Clear Cartridge Filter Pump to the pool's intake and outlet fittings using the provided hoses and clamps. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks.
- Assemble the removable ladder according to its specific instructions. Place the ladder securely on a level surface outside the pool.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Krystal Clear Cartridge Filter Pump
The included 1000 GPH (Gallons Per Hour) filter pump features HydroAeration Technology for improved water quality.
- Initial Operation: After filling the pool and connecting the pump, ensure the pump is primed (refer to pump manual for specific priming instructions). Plug the pump into a GFCI-protected electrical outlet.
- Run Time: Operate the filter pump daily for a minimum of 4-6 hours to ensure adequate water circulation and filtration. Adjust run time based on pool usage and water conditions.
- HydroAeration Technology: This system injects air into the water, accelerating circulation, joining fine particles into larger clusters for better filtration, improving water clarity, and increasing negative ions for freshness.

5.2 Water Treatment
Maintaining proper water chemistry is crucial for a safe and clean swimming environment. Consult a pool supply professional for specific chemical recommendations and testing kits.
- Regularly test pH, chlorine, and alkalinity levels.
- Add appropriate chemicals as needed to maintain balanced water.
- Shock the pool periodically to eliminate contaminants.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Filter Cartridge Cleaning and Replacement
The filter cartridge should be cleaned regularly and replaced every 2-4 weeks, depending on pool usage and water quality.
- Disconnect the filter pump from the power source.
- Close the plunger valves on the pool's intake and outlet fittings to prevent water flow.
- Open the filter pump housing and remove the cartridge.
- Rinse the cartridge thoroughly with a garden hose. If heavily soiled or damaged, replace it with a new Intex Type A filter cartridge.
- Reassemble the pump and open the plunger valves before restarting.
6.2 Pool Cover Usage
Use the included pool cover when the pool is not in use to keep out debris and reduce water evaporation.

6.3 General Cleaning
- Skim the surface of the water daily to remove leaves and other floating debris.
- Brush the pool walls and bottom regularly to prevent algae growth.
- Vacuum the pool floor as needed.
6.4 Winterization
Before freezing temperatures, the pool must be completely drained, cleaned, and disassembled for storage. Refer to the separate winterization guide for detailed instructions.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Pump not running | No power; GFCI tripped; Motor issue | Check power connection; Reset GFCI; Contact customer support |
| Poor water circulation | Clogged filter cartridge; Air in system; Low water level | Clean/replace filter; Bleed air from pump; Add water to pool |
| Water cloudy/green | Insufficient filtration; Imbalanced chemicals; Algae growth | Increase pump run time; Test and adjust chemicals; Shock pool |
| Water leaking from connections | Loose clamps; Damaged O-rings/gaskets | Tighten clamps; Inspect and replace O-rings/gaskets |
