Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your AT&T CLP99387 DECT 6.0 Expandable Cordless Phone System. This system features Bluetooth Connect to Cell technology, a Smart Call Blocker, and an integrated answering system, designed to enhance your communication experience.

1. Setup
1.1 Package Contents
Verify that your package contains the following items:
- 1 Answering Device (Base Unit)
- 3 Cordless Handsets
- 2 Charging Cradles (for additional handsets)
- Power adapters for base and cradles
- Telephone line cord
- Batteries for handsets
- Wall mount bracket (optional)
1.2 Installation Steps
- Connect the Base Unit:
- Plug the telephone line cord into the TEL LINE jack on the base unit and into a telephone wall jack.
- Plug the small end of the base unit power adapter into the POWER jack on the base unit and the large end into an electrical outlet not controlled by a wall switch.
- Install Handset Batteries:
- Open the battery compartment cover on each handset.
- Connect the battery pack connector securely into the jack inside the compartment.
- Place the battery pack inside the compartment and close the cover.
- Charge Handsets:
- Place each handset into the base unit or its respective charging cradle.
- Ensure the "CHARGE" indicator on the handset lights up. Allow at least 16 hours for the initial charge.
- Connect Charging Cradles:
- Plug the power adapter for each charging cradle into an electrical outlet not controlled by a wall switch.
2. Operating Instructions
2.1 Making and Receiving Calls
To make a call, press TALK/FLASH or SPEAKER, then dial the number. To answer a call, press TALK/FLASH or SPEAKER when the phone rings.
2.2 Bluetooth Connect to Cell
This feature allows you to make and receive cellular calls using your AT&T cordless handsets. Up to two Bluetooth-enabled cell phones can be connected simultaneously.
- Pairing a Cell Phone:
- On the base unit, press and hold CELL 1 or CELL 2 until the indicator light flashes.
- Enable Bluetooth on your cell phone and search for available devices.
- Select "AT&T DECT 6.0" from the list and enter the PIN (usually 0000) if prompted.
- Once paired, the corresponding CELL indicator on the base unit will glow steadily.
- Making/Receiving Cell Calls:
- To make a cell call, press CELL 1 or CELL 2 on the handset, then dial.
- Incoming cell calls will ring on the cordless handsets. Press CELL 1 or CELL 2 to answer.

2.3 Smart Call Blocker
The Smart Call Blocker helps filter unwanted calls. It can block robocalls automatically and allows you to blacklist specific numbers.
- Blocking a Number: During a call or after reviewing Caller ID, press CALL BLOCK on the handset or base unit to add the number to the block list.
- Screening Calls: The system can be set to screen unknown callers, prompting them to announce their name before connecting the call.

2.4 Digital Answering System
The integrated digital answering system records incoming messages, announcements, and memos.
- Turning On/Off: Press ANSWER ON/OFF on the base unit.
- Playing Messages: Press PLAY/STOP on the base unit or MENU/SELECT on the handset, then navigate to "Play messages".
- Recording an Announcement: Access the answering system menu on the handset or base unit and select "Record announcement".

2.5 Caller ID Announce
When an incoming call is received, the handset and base unit will announce the caller's name (if available in your directory or Caller ID service).

2.6 Siri®, S Voice®, and Google Now™ Access
When a cell phone is connected via Bluetooth, you can access your smartphone's voice assistant (Siri, S Voice, or Google Now) directly from the cordless handset.
- Press and hold the VOICE button on the handset to activate the voice assistant.
- Speak your commands into the handset.

2.7 Mobile Notifications
Receive alerts for new text messages, emails, or social media updates from your paired cell phone directly on the cordless handset display.

2.8 Mobile Phone Charging
The base unit includes a USB port for convenient charging of your mobile phone.
- Connect your mobile phone's USB charging cable to the USB port on the base unit.
- Ensure your mobile phone begins charging.

2.9 Phonebook Management
The system supports a phonebook for storing frequently called numbers. It can store up to 200 names and numbers, and share up to 4000 cellular phonebook entries from paired cell phones.
- Adding an Entry: Press MENU/SELECT, navigate to "Directory", then "Add new entry".
- Searching: Press DIR on the handset and scroll through entries or use the keypad to search by name.

2.10 HD Audio with Equalizer
The system provides high-definition audio quality. An equalizer feature allows you to customize the audio to your preference during calls.
- During a call, press MENU/SELECT and navigate to "Audio Equalizer" to adjust bass, treble, or normal settings.

2.11 Power Backup
In case of a power outage, the charged handset can temporarily power the base unit, allowing you to make and receive calls on the landline.
- Place a charged handset into the base unit during a power outage. The handset will use its battery to provide temporary power to the base.

2.12 Unsurpassed Range
The DECT 6.0 technology provides extended range and clarity, allowing you to use your cordless handsets further from the base unit.

3. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Clean the phone and base unit with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use cleaning sprays or harsh chemicals.
- Battery Care: Replace handset batteries when they no longer hold a charge effectively. Use only the specified battery type.
- Environmental Conditions: Avoid placing the phone in direct sunlight, near heat sources, or in areas with excessive moisture.
