Setup and Assembly
- Place the motor base on a clean, dry, and stable surface. Ensure it is unplugged from the power outlet.
- Choose the appropriate blade assembly for your task: the blending blade for smoothies and ice crushing, or the grinding blade for coffee beans, nuts, and spices.
- Add your ingredients to one of the 828 ml (28 oz) blending cups. Do not exceed the MAX fill line. For best blending results, add liquids first.
- Carefully screw the chosen blade assembly onto the open end of the blending cup. Ensure it is tightened securely to prevent leaks and activate the safety mechanism.
- Invert the assembled cup and blade, then place it onto the motor base. Twist the cup clockwise until it locks into place. The blender will not operate if the cup is not securely locked.
- Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
Operating Instructions
The Starfrit Personal Blender features three operating modes: Low, High, and Pulse.

Blending (Smoothies & Shakes)
- Follow steps 1-6 from the Setup and Assembly section, ensuring the blending blade is attached.
- Turn the control dial to the 'I' (Low) or 'II' (High) setting for continuous blending.
- For quick bursts or to break up larger pieces, turn the dial to 'PULSE' and release. Repeat as needed.
- Blend until desired consistency is achieved. Avoid continuous operation for more than 60 seconds to prevent motor overheating. Allow the motor to rest for a few minutes between cycles if blending tough ingredients.
- Once blending is complete, turn the dial to 'O' (Off) and unplug the unit.
- Carefully remove the cup from the motor base by twisting counter-clockwise. Unscrew the blade assembly and replace it with a travel lid if taking your drink on the go.
Grinding (Coffee Beans, Nuts & Spices)
- Follow steps 1-6 from the Setup and Assembly section, ensuring the grinding blade is attached.
- For grinding, use short 'PULSE' bursts to achieve the desired consistency. Continuous operation is generally not recommended for grinding to prevent overheating and ensure even results.
- Monitor the consistency closely.
- Once grinding is complete, turn the dial to 'O' (Off) and unplug the unit.
- Carefully remove the cup from the motor base by twisting counter-clockwise. Unscrew the blade assembly.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Proper cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Starfrit Personal Blender.
- Always unplug the blender from the power outlet before cleaning.
- Quick Clean: For a quick clean, add a small amount of warm water and a drop of dish soap to the blending cup. Secure the blending blade assembly and place the cup on the motor base. Run the blender on 'PULSE' for a few seconds. Rinse thoroughly.
- Deep Clean: All removable parts (cups, lids, blade assemblies) are dishwasher safe and BPA-free. For manual cleaning, wash these parts in warm, soapy water using a non-abrasive sponge or brush. Exercise extreme caution when cleaning the blades due to their sharpness.
- Motor Base: Wipe the motor base with a damp cloth. Never immerse the motor base in water or any other liquid.
- Ensure all parts are completely dry before storing or reassembling.
