3. Setup Instructions

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the Adview 2 Diagnostic Station and all accessories from the packaging. Verify that all components listed in the packing list are present, including the main unit, power cord, and two Adcuff+ cuffs (Adult and Large Adult).
  2. Power Connection: Connect the provided power cord to the power input port on the back of the unit. Plug the other end into a standard electrical outlet. The device is powered by corded electric and features a lithium-ion battery for portable use.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On/Off

To power on the device, press and hold the power button located on the front panel until the display illuminates. To power off, press and hold the power button again until the display shuts down.

4.2 Taking a Blood Pressure Measurement

  1. Ensure the patient is seated comfortably with their arm supported at heart level.
  2. Wrap the appropriate size Adcuff+ cuff snugly around the patient's bare upper arm, ensuring the artery marker is aligned with the brachial artery.
  3. Press the START/STOP button on the device. The cuff will inflate, and the measurement will begin automatically.
  4. Remain still and quiet during the measurement.
  5. Once the measurement is complete, the systolic, diastolic, and pulse rate readings will be displayed on the LCD screen. The cuff will automatically deflate.

4.3 Manual Blood Pressure Mode

The manual BP mode allows for real-time verification of readings. To activate, navigate to the manual mode option using the control knob and follow the on-screen prompts for inflation and deflation control.

4.4 Pediatric Mode

For accurate measurements on younger patients, activate the Pediatric Mode through the device's menu settings. This mode adjusts the measurement algorithm for pediatric physiology.
