2. Safety Information

  • Do not expose the unit to rain or moisture to prevent fire or electric shock.

Key Components:

  • CD Compartment: Top-loading for CD/CD-R/CD-RW discs.
  • Display: Shows track number, radio frequency, or mode.
  • Control Buttons: Play/Pause, Stop, Skip/Search (Forward/Backward), Program, Repeat, Volume Up/Down.
  • Speakers: Integrated 0.8 W x 2 speakers for audio output.
  • Microphone Jack: For connecting an external microphone (microphone not included).
  • Auxiliary Input (Line-in): For connecting external audio devices.
  • Power Input: For connecting the AC power adapter.
  • Battery Compartment: Located at the bottom for 6 C/LR14 batteries.

5. Setup

5.1 Power Supply

Your CD player can be powered by either an AC adapter or batteries.

AC Power (Mains Operation):

  1. Ensure the unit is switched off.
  2. Connect the AC power adapter (not always included) to the DC IN jack on the back of the CD player.
  3. Plug the other end of the adapter into a standard wall outlet.

Battery Power:

  1. Ensure the unit is switched off.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover located on the bottom of the unit.
  3. Insert 6 x C/LR14 size batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

5.2 Connecting External Devices

Auxiliary Input (Line-in):

You can connect an external audio device (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player) to play music through the CD player's speakers.

  1. Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the AUX-IN jack on the CD player.
  2. Connect the other end of the audio cable to the headphone jack or line-out jack of your external audio device.
  3. Switch the CD player to AUX mode (if applicable, usually by pressing a 'Mode' button or selecting the input).
  4. Start playback on your external device and adjust the volume on both the external device and the CD player.

Microphone Connection:

Connect a microphone (not included) to the microphone jack to sing along with your music.

  1. Plug a microphone with a 3.5mm jack into the MIC jack on the CD player.
  2. The microphone audio will mix with the playing music (CD or Aux-in).

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 CD Playback

  1. Open the CD compartment cover by gently lifting it.
  2. Place a CD, CD-R, or CD-RW disc onto the spindle with the label side facing up.
  3. Close the CD compartment cover firmly until it clicks.
  4. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start playback. The track number will appear on the display.
  5. To pause playback, press PLAY/PAUSE again. Press it once more to resume.
  6. To stop playback, press the STOP button.
  7. To skip to the next track, press the SKIP FORWARD button ().
  8. To go back to the beginning of the current track or to the previous track, press the SKIP BACKWARD button ().
  9. To search quickly through a track, press and hold the SKIP FORWARD or SKIP BACKWARD button during playback.

Program Function:

You can program up to 20 tracks to play in a specific order.

  1. In STOP mode, press the PROGRAM button. "P01" will flash on the display.
  2. Use the SKIP FORWARD or SKIP BACKWARD buttons to select your desired first track.
  3. Press PROGRAM again to confirm the track. "P02" will flash.
  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to add more tracks to your program.
  5. After programming all desired tracks, press PLAY/PAUSE to start playing the programmed sequence.

Repeat Function:

During CD playback, press the REPEAT button to cycle through repeat modes:

  • Repeat One: Repeats the current track.
  • Repeat All: Repeats all tracks on the CD.
  • Press REPEAT again to cancel the repeat function.

6.2 FM Radio Operation

The unit features an integrated FM radio tuner.

  1. Switch the function selector to FM mode.
  2. Press the SCAN button (or similar, often combined with Play/Pause or Stop) to automatically scan and store available FM stations.
  3. Use the SKIP FORWARD or SKIP BACKWARD buttons to navigate through the stored stations.
  4. Extend the FM antenna (if present) for better reception.

6.3 Volume Control

Adjust the volume using the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons or knob on the unit.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

  • Always unplug the unit from the power source before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the unit.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish.
  • For the CD lens, use a specialized CD lens cleaner disc or a soft, lint-free cloth designed for optical lenses.

7.2 Storage

  • If storing the unit for an extended period, remove all batteries to prevent leakage.
  • Store the unit in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your CD player, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
