- The included speakers are wireless and rechargeable. Before first use, ensure both speakers are fully charged using the provided power adapter. Note: The same power adapter is used for both the turntable and the speakers. You cannot charge the speakers and operate the turntable simultaneously with the single adapter.
- Turn on both speakers.
- On the main speaker, switch the input mode to BT (Bluetooth).
- Press the SYNC button located on the back of the turntable unit.
- The speakers should automatically pair with the turntable. A confirmation sound or indicator light will typically confirm a successful connection.
Operating Instructions
1. Playing a Record
- Ensure the turntable is powered on and the speakers are paired and powered on.
- Select the appropriate speed (33 1/3 or 45 RPM) using the speed selector switch, matching the record you intend to play. For 45 RPM records, you may need to use a 45 RPM adapter (not included).
- Place a record on the platter, centered on the spindle.
- Release the tonearm lock.
- Gently lift the tonearm using the cueing lever.
- Position the stylus over the desired starting groove of the record.
- Lower the tonearm slowly using the cueing lever. The stylus will make contact with the record, and playback will begin through the paired speakers.
- To stop playback, lift the tonearm using the cueing lever, return it to the tonearm rest, and engage the tonearm lock.
2. Bluetooth Input (for external devices)
The wireless speakers can also receive audio directly from your Bluetooth-enabled smartphone, tablet, or computer.
- Ensure the speakers are powered on.
- On the main speaker, switch the input mode to PHONE or the dedicated Bluetooth input for external devices.
- On your external device (smartphone, tablet), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select "Victrola VM-100C-BLK Speakers" (or similar name) from the list of devices to pair.
- Once paired, audio from your device will play through the speakers.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Turntable
- Always unplug the turntable from the power outlet before cleaning.
- Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to wipe the turntable's surfaces.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals, cleaning sprays, or abrasive cloths, as these can damage the finish.
2. Stylus Care
- The stylus (needle) is a delicate component. Handle it with extreme care.
- Clean the stylus periodically using a soft brush designed for stylus cleaning, brushing gently from back to front.
- A worn or damaged stylus can cause poor sound quality and damage your records. Replace the stylus when signs of wear are visible or after approximately 500-1000 hours of playback.
3. Record Care
- Keep records clean and free of dust. Use a carbon fiber brush before each play.
- Store records vertically in their sleeves, away from direct sunlight and heat.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No power to turntable | Power adapter not connected; outlet not active. | Ensure power adapter is securely connected to turntable and a working wall outlet. |
| Speakers not pairing with turntable | Speakers not in BT mode; SYNC button not pressed; speakers not charged. | Ensure speakers are charged and powered on. Set main speaker to BT mode. Press SYNC button on turntable. Move speakers closer to turntable. |
| No sound from speakers | Speakers not paired; volume too low; incorrect input mode. | Verify speakers are paired and powered on. Increase volume on speakers and turntable. Ensure speakers are in the correct input mode (BT for turntable, PHONE for external Bluetooth). |
| Poor sound quality (crackling, skipping) | Dirty record; dirty/worn stylus; improper setup; external interference. | Clean records thoroughly. Clean or replace stylus. Ensure turntable is on a stable, level surface. Check for nearby electronic devices causing interference. |
| Turntable platter not spinning | Drive belt dislodged or broken; motor issue. | Check if the drive belt is correctly positioned around the platter and motor pulley. If belt is broken, it needs replacement. Contact support if motor issue is suspected. |
| Cannot charge speakers and use turntable simultaneously | Shared power adapter design. | This is a design limitation. Charge speakers separately when not using the turntable, or use the turntable when speakers are sufficiently charged. |
