Safety Information

  • Properly inflated tires are crucial for driving safety, reducing stopping distances and preventing skidding on wet surfaces.
  • Regularly checking tire pressure helps maintain vehicle control and prevents premature tire wear.
  • Under-inflated tires can lead to increased fuel consumption and contribute to environmental pollution.
  • Always refer to your vehicle's owner's manual or door jamb sticker for the recommended tire pressure (PSI).

Product Features

  • High Accuracy: Certified ANSI Accurate to ±1% full scale of 60 PSI range.
  • Durable Construction: Features a durable brass body and a rubberized outer bumper for secure grip and impact protection.
  • 360° Swivel Chuck: The valve connector rotates 360 degrees for maximum convenience and easy access to tire valves from any angle.
  • Air Bleeder Valve: Allows for slow and precise deflation of tires to the correct pressure level.
  • Easy-to-Read Dial: Large 2-inch glow-in-the-dark dial ensures clear readings even in low light conditions.
  • Analog Design: No batteries required, providing instant and reliable readings.

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to accurately measure and adjust your tire pressure:

  1. Prepare the Tire: Remove the valve stem cap from the tire you wish to check.
  2. Determine Recommended Pressure: Consult your vehicle's owner's manual or the sticker on the driver's side door jamb for the optimal PSI (Pounds per Square Inch) for your tires.
  3. Attach the Gauge: Firmly press the swivel chuck of the tire pressure gauge onto the tire's valve stem. Ensure a tight seal to prevent air leakage. The gauge will instantly display the current tire pressure.
  4. Read the Pressure: Observe the reading on the large dial. The needle will hold its position, allowing you to easily read the measurement even after removing the gauge.
  5. Adjust Pressure (if necessary):
    • If the pressure is higher than recommended, gently press the air bleeder valve on the gauge to slowly release air until the desired PSI is reached.
    • If the pressure is lower than recommended, use an air compressor to add air to the tire, checking frequently with the gauge until the correct PSI is achieved.
  6. Remove and Replace: Once the desired pressure is set, remove the gauge and replace the valve stem cap.

Maintenance

  • Store the gauge in a clean, dry place away from extreme temperatures.
  • Avoid dropping the gauge or subjecting it to harsh impacts to maintain its accuracy. The rubberized bumper provides protection, but excessive force can still cause damage.
  • Clean the gauge with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your tire pressure gauge, consider the following:

  • Inaccurate Readings: Ensure the gauge is pressed firmly and squarely onto the valve stem to prevent air leaks during measurement. If readings remain inconsistent, the gauge may require recalibration or replacement.
  • Air Leakage During Use: Check that the valve stem is not damaged or bent. Ensure the chuck is fully engaged with the valve stem.
  • Needle Not Resetting: The gauge is designed to hold the reading until the bleeder valve is pressed. If the needle does not return to zero after pressing the bleeder valve, ensure the valve is not stuck.
