Operating Instructions (How to Play)

The game proceeds in turns, with players moving their tokens around the board, buying properties, and managing their funds using the Electronic Banking Unit.

Game Flow:

  1. Starting the Game: The youngest player goes first. Play then proceeds clockwise.
  2. Rolling the Die: On your turn, roll the single die and move your token that many spaces clockwise around the board.
  3. Landing on a Space: Follow the instructions for the space you land on:
    • Unowned Property: If you land on an unowned property, you must buy it. Insert your bank card into the Electronic Banking Unit, then press the button corresponding to the property's color to pay the listed price. Place a "Sold" sign on the property.
    • Owned Property: If you land on a property owned by another player, you must pay them rent. Insert your bank card into the Electronic Banking Unit, then press the "-" button to pay the rent amount. The owner inserts their card and presses the "+" button to receive the rent.
    • Chance Space: Draw the top Chance card, read it aloud, and follow its instructions. Return the card to the bottom of the Chance pile.
    • Go Space: When you pass or land on "GO", you collect 2 Monopoly dollars. Insert your bank card into the Electronic Banking Unit and press the "+" button twice.
    • Go To Jail: Move your token directly to the "Jail" space. Your turn ends. You can get out of Jail by paying 1 Monopoly dollar on your next turn (insert card, press "-" once) or by rolling doubles (if using a house rule for doubles, otherwise just pay).
    • Free Parking: This is a safe space; nothing happens when you land here.
  4. Electronic Banking Unit Usage:
    • To pay money: Insert your bank card, press the "-" button the required number of times.
    • To receive money: Insert your bank card, press the "+" button the required number of times.
    • The unit displays your current balance.
  5. Ending Your Turn: Once you have completed the action for the space you landed on, your turn ends, and play passes to the player on your left.

Winning the Game:

The game ends when one player runs out of money and goes bankrupt. At this point, all remaining players count their total money. The player with the most money wins the game!
