5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your treadmill.

General Cleaning:

  • Wipe down the console and other surfaces with a damp cloth after each use to remove sweat and dust.
  • Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish.
  • Vacuum underneath the treadmill regularly to prevent dust and debris from accumulating in the motor area.

Belt Lubrication:

The tread belt may require periodic lubrication to reduce friction and extend its lifespan. Refer to your product's specific lubrication instructions and recommended lubricant type. Over-lubrication can be detrimental.

Belt Tension and Alignment:

Over time, the tread belt may become loose or shift to one side. Consult your detailed manual for instructions on how to check and adjust the belt tension and alignment using the rear roller bolts.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your ProForm 305 CST Treadmill, refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:

  • Treadmill Not Starting: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a grounded outlet and the safety key is fully inserted into the console. Check the circuit breaker.
  • Belt Slipping: The tread belt may be too loose. Refer to the maintenance section or your product manual for instructions on adjusting belt tension.
  • Unusual Noises: Check for any loose parts or debris under the belt. If the noise persists, contact customer support.
