4. Setup

4.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. The box should contain:

• NEC SL2100 Digital 12-Button Telephone unit
• Handset
• Handset cord
• Line cord

4.2 Connecting the Handset

1. Locate the coiled handset cord.
2. Plug one end of the handset cord into the jack on the bottom left side of the telephone unit.
3. Plug the other end of the handset cord into the jack on the bottom of the handset. Ensure both connections are secure.

4.3 Connecting to the System

1. Locate the line cord.
2. Plug one end of the line cord into the digital station port on the back of the telephone unit.
3. Plug the other end of the line cord into an available digital station port on your NEC SL2100 system.
