The ThermoPro TP55 is a digital indoor thermometer and hygrometer designed to accurately monitor temperature and humidity levels in your living environment. This device features a large, easy-to-read LCD display with a backlight, touchscreen controls, and the ability to record maximum and minimum values over time. It also provides a comfort level indicator to help you maintain an optimal indoor climate.

3. Product Features

  • Large LCD Display: Clearly shows current temperature and humidity.

4. Setup

4.1. Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device.
  2. Remove the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert two AAA (1.5V) batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -).
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover.

The device will power on automatically and begin displaying temperature and humidity readings.

5. Operation

5.1. Temperature Unit Selection

Touch the '°F/°C' button on the touchscreen to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit temperature units.

5.2. Backlight Control

Touch the light bulb icon button on the touchscreen to turn the blue backlight ON or OFF. The backlight will automatically turn off after approximately 15 seconds to conserve battery life.

5.3. MAX/MIN Record Display and Reset

Touch the 'ALL TIME / 24 HRS' button on the touchscreen to toggle between displaying MAX/MIN temperature and humidity records for the last 24 hours or since the last manual reset. To manually reset the MAX/MIN records, press and hold the 'ALL TIME / 24 HRS' button for 3 seconds.

5.4. Comfort Level Indicator

The device displays one of three comfort levels based on humidity:

  • DRY: Humidity is below 30% RH.
  • COMFORT: Humidity is between 30% and 60% RH.
  • WET: Humidity is above 60% RH.

6. Placement Options

The ThermoPro TP55 offers three versatile placement options:

  • Magnetic Attachment: A strong magnet on the back allows you to attach the device to metallic surfaces like refrigerators.
  • Wall Mount: Use the integrated hook hole to hang the device on a wall.
  • Tabletop Stand: A fold-out stand allows for convenient placement on any flat surface.

7. Maintenance

7.1. Cleaning

Wipe the device with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.

7.2. Battery Replacement

When the battery indicator appears on the display, replace the two AAA batteries with new ones to ensure continued accurate operation. Refer to section 4.1 for battery installation instructions.

8. Troubleshooting

  • No Display: Ensure batteries are installed correctly with the correct polarity. Replace batteries if they are depleted.
  • Inaccurate Readings: Allow the device to stabilize for at least 30 minutes after initial setup or relocation. Ensure it is not placed near heat sources, direct sunlight, or strong drafts.
  • Backlight Not Working: Check battery level. If batteries are low, the backlight may not function.
