4. Setup
4.1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device.
- Remove the battery compartment cover.
- Insert two AAA (1.5V) batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -).
- Replace the battery compartment cover.
The device will power on automatically and begin displaying temperature and humidity readings.
5. Operation
5.1. Temperature Unit Selection
Touch the '°F/°C' button on the touchscreen to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit temperature units.
5.2. Backlight Control
Touch the light bulb icon button on the touchscreen to turn the blue backlight ON or OFF. The backlight will automatically turn off after approximately 15 seconds to conserve battery life.

5.3. MAX/MIN Record Display and Reset
Touch the 'ALL TIME / 24 HRS' button on the touchscreen to toggle between displaying MAX/MIN temperature and humidity records for the last 24 hours or since the last manual reset. To manually reset the MAX/MIN records, press and hold the 'ALL TIME / 24 HRS' button for 3 seconds.
5.4. Comfort Level Indicator
The device displays one of three comfort levels based on humidity:
- DRY: Humidity is below 30% RH.
- COMFORT: Humidity is between 30% and 60% RH.
- WET: Humidity is above 60% RH.
