Operating Instructions
Making Espresso
- Preheat: Ensure the machine is turned on and the "Coffee Ready" indicator light is illuminated, indicating the optimal brewing temperature.
- Prepare Portafilter: Insert the desired filter basket into the portafilter. For ground coffee, fill the basket with finely ground espresso coffee and tamp it evenly. For pods, place one pod into the appropriate basket.
- Attach Portafilter: Securely attach the portafilter to the brewing head by aligning it and twisting it firmly to the right.
- Place Cup: Place one or two espresso cups on the drip tray directly under the portafilter spouts.
- Brew: Press the "Coffee Ready" button. The machine will begin to dispense espresso. Press the button again to stop the flow once the desired amount is reached.
- Remove Portafilter: Carefully remove the portafilter by twisting it to the left. Dispose of the used coffee grounds or pod.
Making Cappuccino (Steam Function)
- Prepare Milk: Fill a stainless steel frothing pitcher with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy) to just below the spout.
- Activate Steam: Press the "Steam Ready" button. Wait for the indicator light to illuminate, signaling that the machine has reached steaming temperature.
- Purge Steam Wand: Briefly open the steam knob to release any condensed water from the steam wand into an empty cup, then close it.
- Froth Milk: Immerse the tip of the steam wand just below the surface of the milk. Slowly open the steam knob. Move the pitcher up and down to create foam. Once the milk has reached the desired temperature and consistency, close the steam knob and remove the pitcher.
- Clean Steam Wand: Immediately wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth to remove any milk residue. Briefly open the steam knob again to clear any milk from inside the wand.
- Combine: Pour the frothed milk into your freshly brewed espresso to create a cappuccino.

Descaling
Mineral deposits from water can build up in your machine over time, affecting performance and taste. Descale your machine every 2-3 months, or more frequently if you have hard water or use it often.
- Use a commercial descaling solution specifically designed for espresso machines, following the manufacturer's instructions.
- Alternatively, you can use a solution of white vinegar and water (1 part vinegar to 2 parts water).
- Fill the water tank with the descaling solution.
- Place a large container under the portafilter and steam wand.
- Run several cycles of water through the portafilter and steam wand until the tank is empty.
- Rinse the water tank thoroughly and refill with fresh water.
- Run several cycles of fresh water through the machine to flush out any remaining descaling solution.
