3. Setup and Installation
3.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove the air conditioner from its packaging. Retain the packaging materials for future storage or transport. Check for any damage during transit.
3.2 Placement
Place the unit on a firm, level surface in the desired room. Ensure there is at least 30 cm (12 inches) of clear space around the unit for proper air circulation. Do not place the unit near heat sources or in direct sunlight.
3.3 Exhaust Hose Installation
- Attach the exhaust hose to the designated outlet on the rear of the unit.
- Extend the hose to the nearest window or opening.
- Install the window sealing kit (if provided) to ensure hot air is expelled efficiently and to prevent outside air from entering.
- Ensure the exhaust hose is as short and straight as possible to maximize cooling efficiency. Avoid kinks or sharp bends.
3.4 Drainage Setup
The unit collects condensed water during operation. You have two options for drainage:
- Manual Drainage: The internal water tank will collect water. The unit will stop operating when the tank is full, and an indicator light will illuminate. Drain the water by removing the drain plug at the bottom rear of the unit and allowing water to flow into a suitable container.
- Continuous Drainage: For prolonged use, attach a drain hose (not always included) to the continuous drainage port and direct it to a floor drain or a larger container.
