5. Maintenance

5.1 Battery Replacement

When the units exhibit reduced performance or fail to operate, replace the batteries:

  • Receiver: Replace 3 x AA batteries.
  • Motion Sensor: Replace 3 x AAA batteries.

Ensure correct polarity during installation. Dispose of old batteries responsibly according to local regulations.

5.2 Cleaning

Wipe the units with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the plastic casing or electronic components. Keep the infrared induction window of the sensor clean for optimal performance.

6. Troubleshooting

  • No Sound/Light from Receiver:
Ensure the receiver is powered on and batteries are correctly installed or USB power is connected. Check the volume level. Verify the motion sensor is powered on and detecting motion.
  • Motion Sensor Not Detecting:
Ensure the sensor is powered on and its infrared induction window is clean and unobstructed. Check battery levels. Ensure the sensor is within the wireless range of the receiver (up to 280 meters in open areas).
  • Alarm is Too Loud:
The alarm mode can reach 113dB. When setting up or testing, especially in Alarm Mode, consider wearing ear protection. Adjust the volume using the Volume Key or switch to a different mode if a quieter alert is desired.
  • Difficulty Changing Modes:
The receiver's mode selection does not always provide immediate audible or visual feedback for the specific mode chosen. After pressing the Mode Key, trigger the sensor to confirm the active mode.
  • Interference:
Wireless devices can be subject to interference. If experiencing inconsistent performance, try relocating the sensor or receiver to minimize potential interference from other electronic devices or large metal objects.
