Setup

Unpacking and Placement:

  1. Carefully remove the printer from its packaging. Due to its weight (approx. 210 lbs), it is recommended to use appropriate lifting equipment or assistance.
  2. Place the printer on a stable, level surface capable of supporting its weight. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
  3. Remove all protective tapes and packing materials from the exterior and interior of the printer, including paper trays and the document feeder.

Connecting Power and Network:

  1. Connect the power cord to the printer's power input and then to a grounded electrical outlet.
  2. For network printing and scanning, connect an Ethernet cable from the printer's RJ-45 port to your network router or switch.
  3. Optionally, for direct connection, use a USB 2.0 cable to connect the printer to a computer.

Loading Paper:

The printer supports paper sizes up to A3 (11" x 17").

  1. Open the paper drawers (Tray 1 and Tray 2).
  2. Adjust the paper guides to fit the size of the paper being loaded.
  3. Load paper into the trays, ensuring it is flat and not exceeding the maximum fill line.
  4. The 100-sheet bypass tray can be used for special media or smaller quantities.

Operating Instructions

Basic Copying:

  1. Place the original document face-up in the document feeder or face-down on the scanner glass.
  2. On the 8.5-inch color display, select the "Copy" function.
  3. Adjust settings such as quantity, paper size, and duplexing as needed.

Printing from a Computer:
