2. Safety Instructions
Observe the following safety precautions to prevent injury and damage to the UPS:

4. Product Overview
The MICROTEK Super Power Pure Sinewave UPS features a user-friendly design with clear indicators for operational status.

4.1. Front Panel Indicators
- MAINS ON: Indicates that the UPS is receiving AC input power from the utility grid.
- UPS ON: Indicates that the UPS is providing power to the connected load from its battery (in inverter mode).
- CHARGING: Indicates that the battery is currently being charged.
- OVERLOAD: Warns that the connected load exceeds the UPS's capacity.
- BATT. LOW: Indicates that the battery charge level is low and requires recharging.
- CB TRIP: Indicates that the circuit breaker has tripped due to an overload or short circuit.
4.2. Digital Display
The digital LED display provides real-time information regarding the power back-up status and battery charging time in hours and minutes, allowing for better power management.
5. Setup
Follow these steps for proper installation of your UPS:
- Unpacking and Inspection: Remove the UPS from its packaging. Inspect the unit for any physical damage. Report any damage to your dealer immediately.
- Placement:
- Place the UPS in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area.
- Ensure there is sufficient space around the unit for proper airflow.
- Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources, and areas with excessive dust or corrosive gases.
- Battery Connection:
The UPS requires a 12V battery with a capacity between 100 Ah and 200 Ah. It is compatible with Flat Plate, Tubular, and SMF batteries (battery sold separately).
- Connect the positive (+) terminal of the battery to the positive (+) terminal of the UPS.
- Connect the negative (-) terminal of the battery to the negative (-) terminal of the UPS.
- Ensure all connections are tight and secure to prevent sparking and ensure efficient power transfer.
- AC Input Connection: Plug the UPS's AC input cord into a properly grounded wall outlet.
- Load Connection: Connect your appliances (e.g., lights, fans, computers) to the output sockets of the UPS. Do not exceed the maximum load capacity of 760 watts.

6. Operating Instructions
- Turning On the UPS: Press and hold the power button on the front panel for a few seconds until the UPS beeps and the indicators light up. The "MAINS ON" indicator will light if AC power is present.
- Normal Operation: When AC power is available, the UPS will charge the battery and pass utility power to the connected loads. The "MAINS ON" and "CHARGING" indicators will be active.
- Power Outage (UPS Mode): In case of a power failure, the UPS will automatically switch to battery power, and the "UPS ON" indicator will light. The digital display will show the remaining backup time.
- Turning Off the UPS: Press and hold the power button until the UPS beeps and all indicators turn off. Disconnect the AC input and battery if the unit will not be used for an extended period.
- Overload Condition: If the "OVERLOAD" indicator lights up and an alarm sounds, disconnect some non-essential loads immediately. If the circuit breaker trips ("CB TRIP"), reduce the load and reset the breaker.
- Low Battery Condition: When the "BATT. LOW" indicator lights up and an alarm sounds, the UPS will soon shut down to protect the battery. Save your work and turn off appliances.

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your UPS.
- Battery Care:
- For tubular and flat plate batteries, regularly check the electrolyte level and top up with distilled water as needed.
- Keep battery terminals clean and free from corrosion. Apply petroleum jelly if necessary.
- Ensure the battery is fully charged before prolonged storage.
- Cleaning:
- Clean the exterior of the UPS with a soft, dry cloth.
- Ensure ventilation openings are free from dust and obstructions. Do not use liquid cleaners.
- Storage: If storing the UPS for an extended period, disconnect the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Recharge the battery every 3-6 months to prevent deep discharge.
