Setup Guide
Attaching the Mouthpiece or Extension Tube
Your melodica comes with two options for playing: a short, curved mouthpiece for direct playing and a long, flexible extension tube for playing on a flat surface.
- For Direct Playing: Insert the straight or curved mouthpiece firmly into the air inlet on the side of the melodica. Ensure it is securely attached to prevent air leakage.
- For Tabletop Playing: Connect one end of a soft extension tube to the air inlet on the melodica. Attach the other end of the tube to one of the mouthpieces (straight or curved). This allows you to place the melodica on a surface and play comfortably.

The melodica can be played in two primary ways: using the long, flexible extension tube for tabletop playing, or directly with the short, curved mouthpiece for handheld playing.
Carrying Options
The included carrying bag provides two convenient ways to transport your melodica:
- Hand Carry: Use the sturdy handles on the bag for easy hand transport.
- Shoulder Carry: Utilize the adjustable shoulder strap for comfortable over-the-shoulder carrying, ideal for travel or performances.

The melodica's carrying bag offers versatile transport options, allowing you to carry it comfortably by hand using the top handles or over your shoulder with the adjustable strap.
Operating Instructions
Playing the Melodica
To play the melodica, simply blow air through the attached mouthpiece or extension tube while simultaneously pressing the desired keys. Each key corresponds to a specific note. Experiment with different breath pressures and key combinations to produce various sounds and melodies.
Moisture Drain Valve
Over time, condensation may build up inside the melodica due to breath moisture. To remove this, locate the drain button on the underside of the instrument. While holding the melodica with the keys facing up, press the drain button to release any accumulated moisture. It is recommended to do this periodically, especially after extended playing sessions.

The underside of the melodica features a convenient drain button to release moisture, a hand strap for secure holding during play, and the interface where the mouthpiece or extension tube connects.
Care and Maintenance
Cleaning
- Melodica Body: Wipe the exterior of the melodica with the provided cleaning cloth or a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Mouthpieces and Tubes: These can be detached and rinsed with lukewarm water. Allow them to air dry completely before reattaching to the melodica.
- Internal Cleaning: Regularly use the moisture drain valve to remove condensation. For deeper internal cleaning, consult a professional musical instrument technician.
Storage
When not in use, store your melodica in its dedicated carrying bag to protect it from dust, dirt, and physical damage. Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures, which can affect the instrument's tuning and material integrity.
