Setup

Operating Instructions (Cleaning Process)

1. Attach Hose Adapter: Select the appropriate hose adapter and securely attach it to the ink inlet of the print head you wish to clean.
2. Fill Syringe: Draw approximately 20-30 ml of the Octopus cleaning fluid into the Luer Lock syringe.
3. Apply Cleaning Fluid: Slowly inject a portion of the cleaning fluid into the hose adapter.
4. Dissolve Blockages: Gently perform pumping movements with the syringe to help dissolve ink residues and crusts within the print head.
5. Soak for Stubborn Blockages: For more stubborn blockages, allow the cleaning fluid to sit in the print head for a longer duration. If necessary, let it act overnight.
6. Reinstall Cartridges: After the cleaning process, remove the hose adapter and carefully reinsert all ink cartridges.
7. Print Test Page: Connect the printer to power and print several test pages until the cleaning fluid is flushed out and normal print quality is restored.

Troubleshooting and Limitations

• Severe Blockages: The kit may be ineffective on print heads with extremely heavy blockages or those caused by insoluble materials.
• Very Old Print Heads: Very old print heads may not respond to cleaning or may experience further clogging shortly after cleaning.
• Defective Print Heads: This kit cannot repair physically damaged or defective print heads.
• Cartridge Compatibility: Not suitable for Epson 24, 26, and 33 cartridges.
• Hose-Connected Print Heads: Not suitable for print heads where cartridges are connected to the print head via hoses.
