Watch Components:

• Crown (A): Used for setting time and date.
• Pusher (B): Chronograph start/stop button.

Setup Instructions

1. Setting the Time:

1. Pull the crown (A) out to the second click position.
2. Rotate the crown to set the hour and minute hands to the desired time.
3. Push the crown (A) back to its normal position to start the watch.

2. Setting the Date:

1. Pull the crown (A) out to the first click position.
2. Rotate the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to set the date.
3. Push the crown (A) back to its normal position.

Note: Avoid setting the date between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM, as this may interfere with the automatic date change mechanism.

3. Chronograph Hand Position Adjustment (if needed):

If the chronograph hands do not reset to the zero position after use, follow these steps:

1. Pull the crown (A) out to the second click position.
2. Press pusher (B) repeatedly to advance the 10-minute retrograde hand to its zero position.
3. Press pusher (C) repeatedly to advance the chronograph seconds hand (if applicable) to its zero position.
4. Once all chronograph hands are at zero, push the crown (A) back to its normal position.

Operating Instructions

Using the Chronograph:

1. Start: Press pusher (B) to start the chronograph. The chronograph seconds hand (if present on the main dial) and the 10-minute retrograde sub-dial will begin to move.
2. Stop: Press pusher (B) again to stop the chronograph. The elapsed time will be indicated by the chronograph hands.
3. Reset: After stopping the chronograph, press pusher (C) to reset all chronograph hands to their zero positions.

The 10-minute retrograde sub-dial at the 9 o'clock position measures elapsed minutes up to 10 minutes. After reaching 10 minutes, the hand will instantly snap back to zero and continue counting from there.

Maintenance

Cleaning:

Wipe the watch case and crystal with a soft, dry cloth. For leather straps, avoid excessive moisture and harsh chemicals. For stainless steel or rubber straps, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by drying.

Water Resistance:

Your AVI-8 Hawker Hunter AV-4052 watch has a water resistance rating of 50 meters (5 ATM). This means it is suitable for short periods of recreational swimming, but not for diving or prolonged water immersion. Do not operate the crown or pushers while the watch is wet or submerged, as this can compromise the water resistance.

Battery Replacement:

The watch is powered by one product-specific battery (included). When the battery needs replacement, it is recommended to take your watch to an authorized service center or a qualified watchmaker to ensure proper battery installation and maintenance of water resistance.

Troubleshooting

Watch Not Running:

• Ensure the crown (A) is fully pushed in to its normal operating position.
• If the watch still does not run, the battery may need replacement. Refer to the 'Battery Replacement' section.

Chronograph Hands Not Resetting to Zero:

• Follow the 'Chronograph Hand Position Adjustment' steps in the Setup section to manually align the hands.

Date Not Changing:

• Ensure the time is set correctly, especially the AM/PM cycle for the 24-hour indicator.
• Avoid setting the date during the restricted hours (9:00 PM - 3:00 AM).
