2. Safety Instructions

4. Setup
Follow these steps to set up your appliance:
- Unpack: Carefully remove the appliance and all accessories from the packaging. Retain packaging for storage or disposal.
- Placement: Position the appliance on a firm, level surface in the desired location. Ensure it is at least 20 cm away from walls or furniture to allow for proper airflow. The integrated wheels allow for easy repositioning.
- Fill Water Tank: Pull out the water tank from the back of the unit. Fill the tank with clean tap water up to the 'MAX' level indicator. For enhanced cooling, place the two included ice containers (after freezing them) into the water tank. Slide the water tank back into the unit until it clicks into place.

- Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
5. Operating Instructions
The Taurus R500 features a user-friendly control panel:
- Power Button (U): Press once to turn the unit ON, press again to turn OFF.
- Speed Button (I II III): Press repeatedly to cycle through the 3 fan speeds: Low (I), Medium (II), High (III).
- Cooling/Humidification Button (~): Press to activate the water ventilation function, which provides a cooler, humidified breeze. Press again to deactivate. Ensure the water tank is filled when using this function.
- Oscillation Button (X): Press to activate the oscillating louvers, which distribute air across a wider area. Press again to stop oscillation.
- Timer Button (Clock Icon): Press to set the operating timer. The unit will automatically turn off after the set time. Refer to the full manual for specific timer intervals.
6. Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure optimal performance and longevity of your appliance.
6.1. Cleaning the Water Tank
- Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
- Remove the water tank from the unit.
- Empty any remaining water.
- Clean the tank with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
- Allow the tank to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit.
6.2. Cleaning the Air Filter
- Unplug the appliance.
- Locate and remove the washable air filter (typically at the back or side of the unit).
- Rinse the filter under running water to remove dust and debris. For stubborn dirt, use a soft brush.
- Ensure the filter is completely dry before placing it back into the unit.
