1. Safety Information

General Safety Rules

3. Setup

3.1 Connecting to Air Supply

1. Ensure the air compressor is turned off and the air tank is drained.
2. Connect a standard 1/4" NPT air hose to the tool's air inlet.
3. Set the air compressor's regulator to an operating pressure between 60-100 PSI. Do not exceed 100 PSI.
4. Turn on the air compressor.

3.2 Loading Flexible Points

Always disconnect the air supply before loading points.

1. Press the magazine latch to release the magazine.
2. Slide the magazine open.
3. Insert a strip of 5/8 inch flexible points into the magazine. Ensure the pointed end of the points faces downward.
4. Push the magazine forward until it locks securely into place.

4. Operation

4.1 Driving Flexible Points

1. Ensure the air supply is connected and the magazine is loaded with compatible flexible points.
2. Position the nose of the tool firmly against the workpiece (e.g., the backing board of a picture frame).
3. Apply firm, even pressure to the tool against the workpiece.
4. Squeeze the trigger to drive a flexible point.
5. Release the trigger and lift the tool from the workpiece.
6. Repeat the process as needed, spacing points appropriately to secure the backing.

Note: For best results, practice on scrap material to get a feel for the tool and the required pressure.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your meite P515 Point Driver. Always disconnect the air supply before performing any maintenance.

5.1 Lubrication

• Apply 2-3 drops of pneumatic tool oil into the air inlet daily before use.
• Operate the tool briefly after oiling to distribute the lubricant.
• Do not use detergent oil or oil with additives, as this can damage the O-rings and other components.

5.2 Cleaning

• Keep the tool clean and free of debris. Wipe down the exterior with a clean cloth.
• Periodically check the magazine for dust or point residue and clean as necessary to prevent feeding issues.
• Inspect the nosepiece for any buildup that might obstruct point discharge.

5.3 Storage

• Store the tool in a clean, dry environment.
• Disconnect the air hose and drain any remaining air from the tool before storage.
• Apply a few drops of pneumatic tool oil before storing for extended periods.
