4. Setup Guide
4.1 Connecting the Receiver
- Antenna Connection: Connect your terrestrial antenna cable to the "ANT IN" port on the back of the receiver.
- TV Connection:
- HDMI: For best picture quality, connect an HDMI cable from the receiver's HDMI OUT port to an available HDMI IN port on your TV.
- SCART (Péritel): If your TV does not have an HDMI port, connect a SCART cable from the receiver's SCART OUT port to the SCART IN port on your TV.
- Power Connection: Connect the power adapter to the receiver's DC IN port and then plug it into a wall outlet.
- USB Device (Optional): For PVR or multimedia playback, insert a USB storage device (USB stick or external hard drive) into the front panel USB 2.0 port.

4.2 Initial Setup and Channel Scan
- Turn on your TV and select the correct input source (HDMI or SCART) corresponding to the receiver's connection.
- Power on the APM receiver using the front panel button or the remote control.
- The first time you power on the receiver, an initial setup wizard may appear. Follow the on-screen prompts.
- Select your preferred language (e.g., English).
- Initiate an automatic channel scan. This process will search for and store all available digital terrestrial channels in your area. This may take several minutes.
- Once the scan is complete, the receiver will automatically tune to the first available channel.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Basic Operations
- Power On/Off: Press the POWER button on the remote control or the front panel.
- Channel Selection: Use the CH+ / CH- buttons to change channels sequentially, or enter the channel number directly using the numeric keypad.
- Volume Control: Use the VOL+ / VOL- buttons to adjust the volume.
- Mute: Press the MUTE button to temporarily silence the audio.
- Menu: Press the MENU button to access the main menu for settings and features.
- OK: Press the OK button to confirm selections or view channel information.
- Exit: Press the EXIT button to return to the previous screen or exit the menu.
5.2 PVR (Recording) and Time Shift
The receiver supports PVR functionality, allowing you to record TV programs to an external USB storage device, and Time Shift, which lets you pause live TV.
- Recording:
- Ensure a USB storage device is connected and has sufficient free space.
- Press the REC button on the remote control to start recording the current program.
- Press the STOP button to end the recording.
- Scheduled Recording:
- Access the "Timer" or "Schedule" menu option.
- Set the desired channel, start time, end time, and recording mode (e.g., once, daily, weekly).
- Confirm the schedule. The receiver will automatically record at the specified time.
- Time Shift:
- While watching live TV, press the PAUSE button. The program will pause and begin recording to the USB device.
- Press PLAY to resume watching from the paused point.
