3. Setup and Battery Installation

3.1 Battery Requirements

The Pokémon Trainer Guess: Kanto Edition requires 3 AAA batteries for operation. These batteries are included with the product.

3.2 Installing/Replacing Batteries

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the device.
  2. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, loosen the screw on the battery compartment cover.
  3. Remove the cover.
  4. Insert 3 new AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  5. Replace the battery compartment cover and tighten the screw.

Important: Always use fresh batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries. Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Starting the Game

To begin playing, press the central button on the device. The device will prompt you to think of a Pokémon.

4.2 How to Play

  1. Think of a Pokémon: Secretly choose any of the 151 Kanto Region Pokémon.
  2. Answer Questions: The device will ask you a series of "Yes" or "No" questions about your chosen Pokémon. Respond clearly using voice recognition.
  3. Voice Commands:
    • Say "Yes" to confirm.
    • Say "No" to deny.
    • Say "I don't know" if you are unsure.
    • Say "Go back" to re-answer the previous question.
    • Say "Repeat" or "Say it again" to hear the question once more.
  4. Guessing: Based on your answers, the device will attempt to guess your Pokémon.
  5. Collecting Pokémon: If the device guesses correctly, that Pokémon is added to your electronic collection. You can track your collection using the included Trainer Field Guide.
