4. Setup
4.1 Battery Installation
The IMALENT DN70 uses a 4500mAh 26650 rechargeable Li-ion battery.
- Unscrew the tail cap of the flashlight counter-clockwise.
- Insert the 26650 battery with the positive (+) terminal facing towards the head of the flashlight.
- Screw the tail cap back on clockwise until it is securely tightened.
4.2 Charging
The DN70 features a built-in USB charging port.
- Locate the USB charging port on the flashlight body. It is typically covered by a rubber flap for protection.
- Open the rubber flap and connect the provided USB charging cable to the port.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to a USB power source (e.g., computer, USB wall adapter).
- The indicator light on the flashlight will show the charging status. Refer to the flashlight's specific indicator behavior for full charge notification (e.g., red for charging, green for fully charged).
- Once charging is complete, disconnect the USB cable and securely close the rubber flap to maintain water resistance.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power On/Off
- To Turn On: Press the power switch once.
- To Turn Off: Press and hold the power switch for approximately 0.5 seconds.
5.2 Brightness Level Selection
With the flashlight turned on, single-press the power switch to cycle through the brightness levels:
Low → High I → High II → High III → Turbo

5.3 Special Modes (Strobe, SOS, Beacon)
- To Activate Strobe: From any mode, double-press the power switch rapidly.
- To Activate SOS: From Strobe mode, double-press the power switch rapidly.
- To Activate Beacon: From SOS mode, double-press the power switch rapidly.
- To Exit Special Modes: Single-press the power switch to return to the previously used brightness level.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
- Wipe the flashlight body with a clean, soft cloth.
- For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Keep the lens clean for optimal light output. Use a lens cleaning cloth if necessary.
6.2 O-Ring Care
- Regularly inspect the O-rings for wear or damage.
- Lubricate O-rings with silicone grease periodically to maintain water resistance.
- Replace worn or damaged O-rings with the provided spares to ensure the IPX-8 waterproof rating.
6.3 Storage
- Store the flashlight in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- For long-term storage, it is recommended to charge the battery to approximately 50% and recharge it every 3-6 months to prolong battery life.
7. Troubleshooting
- Flashlight not turning on:
- Ensure the battery is correctly installed with the positive (+) terminal facing the head.
- Check if the battery is charged. Connect to a USB power source to charge.
- Ensure the tail cap is fully tightened.
- Light is dim or flickers:
- The battery may be low. Recharge the battery.
- Clean the battery contacts and flashlight contacts with a clean cloth.
- Charging not working:
- Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the flashlight and the power source.
- Try a different USB cable or power source.
- Check if the charging port is clean and free of debris.
