3. Setup Instructions

- Install Refill Bag: Open the pail lid. Place the Diaper Genie multi-layer refill ring into the designated compartment at the top of the pail. Pull approximately 18 inches of the film down through the pail's opening and tie a knot at the end of the film to create the bottom of the bag.

- Open Front Bin: Press the button on the front of the pail to tilt open the lower bin.
- Cut Bag: Locate the built-in childproof cutter inside the pail. Pull the filled bag upwards and across the cutter to separate the soiled portion from the remaining refill film.
- Dispose: Tie a knot at the top of the cut, filled bag and remove it for disposal. Tie a new knot at the bottom of the remaining refill film to prepare for continued use.

When the refill bag is completely used, replace it with a new Diaper Genie round refill:
- Remove Old Refill: Open the pail lid and remove the empty refill ring from its compartment.
- Insert New Refill: Place a new Diaper Genie round refill into the compartment. Pull the film down through the pail's opening and tie a knot at the end to form the bottom of the new bag.
- Close Lid: Close the pail lid securely.
