Model: MAFA3000A

1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Mammoth Ion and Ozone Generator. This device is designed to improve air quality by eliminating odors and reducing airborne particles through ozone generation and ionization. Please read this manual thoroughly before operation to ensure safe and effective use.

This model, MAFA3000A, produces up to 3000 mg/hour of ozone and generates negative ions to enhance air purification in spaces up to 3,500 sq ft.

2. Important Safety Information

WARNING: Ozone can be harmful if inhaled directly. Use this device ONLY in unoccupied spaces. Ensure no humans, pets, or plants are present during ozone generation.

  • Always ensure the area is completely vacant before activating the ozone function.

  3. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into the unit's power inlet, then into a standard electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Air Purification (Ionization Only)

For general air purification and particle reduction without ozone, follow these steps:

  1. Ensure the Ozone Output knob is set to the "OFF" position.
  2. Turn the Ionization Fan Speed knob clockwise to your desired fan speed (Low, Medium, or High). The unit will begin to generate negative ions and circulate air.
  3. This mode is safe for occupied spaces.

5.2 Odor Elimination (Ozone and Ionization)

Remember: Use ONLY in unoccupied spaces.

  1. Ensure the area is completely vacant of humans, pets, and plants.
  2. Turn the Ionization Fan Speed knob clockwise to your desired fan speed. A higher fan speed will help distribute the ozone more effectively.
  3. Turn the Ozone Output knob clockwise to activate the ozone function and adjust the ozone level (Low, Medium, or High).
  4. Refer to the table below for recommended treatment times based on room size.
  5. After the desired treatment time, turn both knobs to the "OFF" position and unplug the unit.
  6. Allow the treated area to ventilate for at least 30-60 minutes before re-entry. Open windows and doors if possible.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance helps ensure optimal performance and longevity of your Mammoth Ion and Ozone Generator.

  • Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Ozone Plate Cleaning: Over time, the ozone plates may accumulate residue, reducing efficiency. Refer to the manufacturer's guidelines for cleaning or replacing ozone plates. Typically, this involves carefully removing the plates and cleaning them with a brush or a damp cloth, ensuring they are completely dry before reinstallation.
  • Filter Cleaning: Check the air intake grille for dust accumulation. Clean with a vacuum cleaner or a soft brush.

Specific instructions for ozone plate and filter maintenance may vary. Please consult the manufacturer's website or contact support for detailed guidance.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Mammoth Ion and Ozone Generator, please refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • Unit Not Turning On:
    • Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into both the unit and a working electrical outlet.
    • Check if the outlet is receiving power by plugging in another device.
    • Verify that both the Ozone Output and Ionization Fan Speed knobs are turned ON.
  • No Ozone Production:
    • Confirm the Ozone Output knob is turned to a setting other than "OFF".
    • Ensure the Ionization Fan Speed knob is also turned ON, as the ozone function often requires the fan to operate.
    • Ozone plates may be dirty or worn. Refer to maintenance instructions or contact support for replacement.
  • Reduced Odor Elimination:
    • Increase the ozone output level and/or fan speed.
    • Ensure the treatment time is appropriate for the room size (refer to Section 5.2).
    • Clean or replace ozone plates as per maintenance guidelines.

If the issue persists after attempting these steps, please contact customer support.
