1. Product Overview

The VONDIOR AM/FM Portable Pocket Radio is a compact, battery-operated device designed for receiving AM and FM radio broadcasts. 2. Setup

2.1 Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the radio.
2. Slide the cover open.
3. Insert two (2) AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2.2 Antenna Extension

For optimal reception, especially for FM stations, extend the telescoping antenna fully. For AM reception, the antenna may not need to be fully extended, or can remain retracted.

3. Operation

3.1 Power On/Off and Volume Control

The radio is turned on and off using the volume control knob, typically located on the side of the unit. Rotate the knob clockwise to turn on the radio and increase the volume. Rotate counter-clockwise to decrease the volume and turn off the radio.

3.2 Band Selection (AM/FM)

A switch, usually labeled 'FM/AM', allows you to select between Frequency Modulation (FM) and Amplitude Modulation (AM) bands. Slide the switch to your desired band.

3.3 Tuning to a Station

Use the tuning dial, typically located on the side or front, to scan for radio stations. Slowly rotate the dial until you hear a clear broadcast. The frequency scale on the front panel indicates the current tuning position.

3.4 Headphone Use

To listen privately, plug standard 3.5mm headphones into the mono headphone jack located on the side of the radio. The built-in speaker will automatically mute when headphones are connected.

• Cleaning: Wipe the radio with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.

  • Try repositioning the radio, especially near a window or away from electronic devices that may cause interference.
  • Fine-tune the tuning dial slowly to find a clearer signal.
  • Switch between AM and FM bands to see if reception improves on one over the other.
• Radio Not Turning On:
  • Replace batteries with fresh ones.
  • Check battery polarity.
