The AKB-450UB functions as a standard 105-key US layout keyboard. Typing is performed by pressing the keys. The split-key design and integrated palm rest are intended to provide a more comfortable typing posture.

The built-in GlidePoint TouchPad replaces the functionality of a traditional mouse. Use your finger to glide across the touchpad surface to move the cursor. The touchpad includes left and right click buttons located below the pad, and a scroll bar on the right side for vertical scrolling.

- Left Click: Press the left button below the touchpad or tap once on the touchpad surface.
