Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps to assemble your ClosetMaid SuiteSymphony organizer. It is recommended to lay down a carpet or blanket to protect your floor during assembly.
1. Measure Your Closet Space
Accurately measure the height, width, and depth of your closet. This will help you plan the placement of the tower and determine if any hang rods or top shelves need to be trimmed.

Image: Detailed technical drawing of the ClosetMaid SuiteSymphony tower, showing shelf depth (14.7 in.), shelf width (23.74 in.), fixed shelf height (13.62 in.), and overall height (82.46 in.). It also indicates expandable rods from 30-48 in. and a 41 in. distance between rods.
2. Assemble the Tower Base
Begin by assembling the base unit of the tower. Insert cam locks into the designated holes on the bottom shelves and screw cam posts into the corner holes of the top shelves. Use a rubber mallet to gently tap the bottom nuts into the side panels, then screw in the leveling feet. Slide the bottom shelf onto one side panel and tighten the cam locks. Repeat for the second side panel.

3. Attach Top Unit and Gussets
Attach the top panel to the base and top units, ensuring all unfinished edges face upwards. Push cam posts into the holes at the top of the side panels and tighten the cam locks. Attach the gussets to all corners on the unfinished side of the unit using a hammer and nails, ensuring they are square and not angled.
4. Secure Tower to Wall
Position the assembled tower in your desired location. Adjust the leveling feet to ensure the unit is perfectly level before securing it to the wall. Place an L-bracket inside the unit, below the top gusset, mark the drill points, drill a pilot hole, insert a wall anchor, and secure the L-bracket with a screw. Repeat for the other side.
5. Install Adjustable Shelves
Push the shelf supports into the desired holes for your adjustable shelves. Place the adjustable shelves onto these supports. Push the covers into any open holes at the bottom of each unit for a finished look.
6. Install Rod Brackets and Rods
Decide which side will have double hang rods and which will be for long hanging clothes. Place a rod bracket under the top shelf, 1/8 inch back from the front edge. Mark the hole locations, drill small pilot holes if necessary, and secure each rod bracket with two screws. Hook the closet rod onto the bracket. Extend the rod to the wall and hold another bracket in place, ensuring the rod is level and the same distance from the back wall as the tower bracket. Mark the wall, drill 1/4 inch holes, insert wall anchors, and secure the bracket with screws. Install all closet rods into their brackets. For smaller closets, hang rods may need to be cut; measure the required length and cut the rods on the end without the hole.

Operating Instructions
The ClosetMaid SuiteSymphony system is designed for flexible storage. You can adjust the height of the two adjustable shelves within the tower to accommodate items of different sizes. The expandable hang rods allow for customization of hanging space. Simply lift and reposition the shelves on the shelf supports as needed.
Maintenance
To maintain the appearance and longevity of your closet organizer:
- Wipe surfaces with a soft, damp cloth.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the finish.
- Periodically check all screws and connections to ensure they remain tight.
- Do not expose the unit to excessive moisture or direct sunlight.
