2. Safety Precautions

Please read all instructions carefully before using the appliance to ensure safe operation and prevent injury or damage.

• Always ensure the lid is properly closed and locked before operating.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
• Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
• Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to “off”, then remove plug from wall outlet.
• Do not use appliance for other than intended use.

4. Initial Setup

4.1 Unpacking and Placement

1. Carefully remove all packaging materials and accessories.
2. Wipe the exterior of the rice cooker with a soft, damp cloth.
3. Wash the inner pot, inner lid, rice spatula, and measuring cup with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
4. Place the rice cooker on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Cooking White Rice

1. Using the included measuring cup, add your desired amount of white rice into a bowl. Level the rice to the brim of the measuring cup for accurate results. (Refer to video: 0:10)
2. Wash the rice until the water runs clear. (Refer to video: 0:25)
3. Add the washed rice into the inner pot. Then, add water until it reaches the corresponding water level line for 'WHITE' rice on the inner pot. (Refer to video: 0:29)
4. Close the lid of the rice cooker and ensure it is securely locked.
5. Press the [MENU] button to select [WHITE/SUSHI].
6. Press the [START] button to begin cooking. (Refer to video: 0:48)
7. Once cooking is complete, the rice cooker will automatically switch to KEEP WARM mode.
8. Fluff the cooked rice with the rice scoop and serve. (Refer to video: 1:18)

5.2 Using 'My Mode' Function

The 'My Mode' setting allows you to customize the texture and flavor profile of your White/Sushi or Quinoa rice.

1. Select [WHITE/SUSHI] or [QUINOA] using the [MENU] button.
2. Press the [TIME/MY MODE] button to enter the 'My Mode' setting. (Refer to video: 1:38)
3. After entering 'My Mode', press the [TIME/MY MODE] button repeatedly to select your desired texture level (Level 1-4). (Refer to video: 1:47)
4. Press [START] to save your 'My Mode' settings and begin cooking. (Refer to video: 1:54)

5.3 Stored Rice Mode

This mode prepares rice optimally for freezing and reheating, ensuring fresh-tasting rice even after storage.

1. Using the included measuring cup, add 2 cups of white rice into a bowl. (Refer to video: 3:03)
2. Wash the rice until the water runs clear. (Refer to video: 3:18)
3. Add the washed rice into the inner pot. Add water until it reaches the corresponding water level line for 'STORED RICE' on the inner pot. (Refer to video: 3:28)
4. Close the lid of the rice cooker.
5. Press the [MENU] button until [STORED RICE] is selected. (Refer to video: 3:38)
6. Press [START] to begin cooking. (Refer to video: 3:46)
7. Once cooked, transfer the rice to a microwave-safe container, store in the freezer for up to 1 month, and reheat in the microwave for 3-4 minutes. (Refer to video: 4:01)

5.4 Steam Mode (for dumplings/vegetables)

Use the Steam Mode with the steam tray for perfectly steamed dishes.

1. Add 2 cups of water to the inner pot. (Refer to video: 4:44)
2. Place the steam tray on top of the inner pot. (Refer to video: 4:51)
3. Place your items (e.g., dumplings) into the steam tray and close the lid. (Refer to video: 4:55)
4. Use the [MENU] button to select [STEAM] on the control panel. (Refer to video: 5:07)
5. Press [WARM/REHEAT] to adjust the steaming time (e.g., 30 minutes). (Refer to video: 5:15)
6. Press [START] to begin steaming. (Refer to video: 5:24)
7. After the set time, carefully open the lid and remove the steam tray. (Refer to video: 5:29)

5.5 Setting the Timer

The timer function allows you to set a delayed cooking start time.

1. Press the [TIMER/LOCK] button. (Refer to video: 6:03)
2. Using the [MENU] button, select the desired cooking mode (e.g., White/Sushi, Porridge, Quinoa, Stored Rice, Auto Clean).
3. Set the desired time by pressing the [TIME/MY MODE] button. Each press adds 10 minutes to the timer. The range is from 1 hour to 12 hours 50 minutes. (Refer to video: 6:10)
4. Press [START]. The [TIMER/LOCK] and [START] indicators will flash 3 times. Cooking will begin after the set timer ends. (Refer to video: 6:20)

5.6 Keep Warm / Reheat Function

Keep your rice warm or reheat it to optimal temperature.

1. To warm your rice, press the [WARM/REHEAT] button. The rice can reheat in 9 minutes. (Refer to video: 6:30)
2. When reheating completes, warming begins. The time display will show "0H" indicating 0 hours of warming has elapsed. (Refer to video: 6:43)

5.7 Voice Guide Setting

The CRP-FA0610FR features voice navigation. You can adjust the language setting as follows (demonstrated on a similar CUCKOO model, CRP-BHSS0609F):

1. With the rice cooker powered on, press the [MODE] button repeatedly (approximately 12 times) until you enter the language setting mode. The display will indicate the current language. (Refer to video: 0:04)
2. Use the arrow buttons (Menu Selection) to cycle through the available language options (e.g., Korean, English, Chinese). (Refer to video: 0:26)

6. Maintenance

6.1 Auto Clean Function

The Auto Clean function uses steam to clean the inner parts of the rice cooker.

1. Add water to the inner pot until it reaches the 2nd water line marked "WHITE". (Refer to video: 6:48)
2. Close the lid securely.
3. Use the [MENU] button to select [AUTO CLEAN]. (Refer to video: 6:56)
4. Press the [START] button to initiate the steam cleaning process. (Refer to video: 7:00)
5. Once the cleaning cycle completes, wipe any residual moisture with a non-abrasive cloth. (Refer to video: 7:10)

6.2 Cleaning the Detachable Inner Lid

Regular cleaning of the inner lid is essential for hygiene and optimal performance.

1. Push the detachable cover lever and separate the detachable inner lid from the main lid. (Refer to video: 7:23)

6.3 Cleaning the Water Drain
