5. Setup

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Inserting Batteries

- Insert one or more 9V block batteries into the charging slots. Ensure correct polarity (+/-). The charger will automatically detect the battery type and voltage.

6.2 Selecting Programs
The P9-4 offers 5 operating programs:
- Charge: Standard charging mode.
- Discharge: Discharges the battery before charging.
- Test: Charges, discharges, and then recharges the battery to determine its actual capacity.
- Quick-test: Quickly checks the battery's internal resistance.
- Refresh: Repeatedly charges and discharges the battery to restore its full capacity, especially useful for older batteries.
To select a program:
- Press the SLOT button to select the desired charging slot.
- Press the MODE button repeatedly to cycle through the available programs.
- Once the desired program is displayed, the charger will begin the operation automatically after a few seconds, or you can press MODE again to confirm.
6.3 Adjusting Charging Current
To adjust the charging current:
- Select the desired slot using the SLOT button.
- Press the CURRENT button repeatedly to cycle through the available current options.
- The selected current will be applied automatically.
