5. Setup

  1. Power Connection: Connect the 9V DC power adapter to the 9V DC input jack on the pedal. Plug the adapter into a suitable power outlet.
  2. Guitar Connection: Connect your electric guitar to the 'IN' jack of the Alpha Cruncher pedal using a standard 1/4-inch instrument cable.
  3. Amplifier Connection: Connect the 'OUT' jack of the Alpha Cruncher pedal to your guitar amplifier's input using another 1/4-inch instrument cable.
  4. Power On: Ensure your amplifier is turned on and its volume is set to a low level before activating the pedal.

6. Operating Instructions

The Alpha Cruncher allows you to use each effect independently or combine them for a wider range of sounds.

6.1. Engaging/Bypassing Effects

Press the corresponding footswitch for Delay, Chorus, or Distortion to toggle the effect on or off. The blue LED will light up when the effect is active.

6.2. Adjusting Delay

Use the LEVEL, FEEDBACK, and DELAY knobs in the Delay section to customize your sound. Experiment with different settings to achieve anything from subtle echoes to long, atmospheric repeats.

6.3. Adjusting Chorus

Modify the LEVEL, RATE, and DEPTH knobs in the Chorus section to create various modulation effects, from subtle shimmer to lush, swirling textures.

Control the VOL, GAIN, and TONE knobs in the Distortion section to dial in your desired level of overdrive and tonal character. Higher gain settings will produce more aggressive, saturated sounds.

6.5. Combining Effects

The Alpha Cruncher allows you to activate multiple effects simultaneously. For example, you can combine Distortion with Delay for lead solos, or Chorus with a subtle Delay for clean, ambient tones. Experiment to find your unique sound.
