5. Setup Instructions

5.1. Mounting the Car Charger

1. Identify a suitable air vent in your vehicle that does not obstruct your view or interfere with driving controls.
2. Gently push the air vent clip of the Nillkin charger onto one of the slats of your chosen air vent. Ensure it is securely attached and stable.
3. Adjust the angle of the charger for optimal viewing. The mount allows for rotation.

5.2. Attaching the Metal Plate to Your Phone/Case

For the magnetic function to work, a metal plate must be attached to your phone or phone case. The Nillkin charger is designed to work optimally with Nillkin's magnetic cases, which have integrated magnets outside the charging area. If using a standard case, follow these steps:

• Option A: Using the Horseshoe-shaped Metal Plate (Recommended for most cases)
  1. Clean the back surface of your phone case where the plate will be attached.
  2. Peel off the adhesive backing from the horseshoe-shaped metal plate.
  3. Carefully align and firmly press the metal plate onto the outside of your phone case. Position it towards the top or bottom, ensuring the central area where the wireless charging coil is located remains clear. The horseshoe shape is designed to avoid interfering with wireless charging.
  4. Allow the adhesive to set for a few hours before use for maximum adhesion.
• Option B: Using Small Round Metal Pieces (Alternative)
  1. Clean the back surface of your phone case.
  2. Peel off the adhesive backing from the small round metal pieces.
  3. Attach these pieces to the outside of your phone case, specifically in the four corners or edges, ensuring they do not cover the central wireless charging area of your phone.
  4. Allow the adhesive to set for a few hours before use.

Important Note: Placing the metal plate between the phone and a non-magnetic case may result in insufficient magnetic hold and can interfere with wireless charging efficiency or cause overheating. For optimal performance, attach the metal plate to the outside of your case or use a Nillkin magnetic case designed for this charger.

5.3. Connecting Power

1. Connect the Micro USB cable to the charging port on the Nillkin car mount.
2. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a compatible car USB power adapter (not included). The adapter should provide at least 5V/2.1A for optimal charging performance.
