Troubleshooting

No Internet Connection

If your devices cannot access the internet after connecting to the router, consider the following:

  1. Check LED Indicators: Ensure the Power, Wi-Fi, Internet, and LAN LEDs are properly illuminated.
  2. Verify Cable Connections: Confirm that all Ethernet cables (WAN from modem, LAN to computer) are securely plugged in.
  3. Check WAN Settings: Log in to the router's web interface and navigate to WAN settings. Verify that your WAN connection type (PPPoE, Static IP, or Automatic IP) and credentials are correct as provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP).
  4. Restart Devices: Power cycle your modem, router, and connected devices.

Weak Wi-Fi Signal

If you experience weak or unstable Wi-Fi signals:

  1. Router Placement: Position the router in a central location, away from obstructions like thick walls, metal objects, and large appliances (microwaves, refrigerators) that can interfere with Wi-Fi signals.
  2. Adjust Antennas: Experiment with the orientation of the router's antennas to optimize signal coverage. Often, positioning them at a 45-degree or 90-degree angle can improve signal strength.
  3. Change Wireless Control Channel: Log in to the router's web interface, go to Wireless > General, and try manually selecting a different control channel (e.g., 1, 6, or 11 for 2.4GHz) to avoid interference from neighboring networks.
  4. Update Device Drivers/Firmware: Ensure the Wi-Fi drivers on your connected devices (laptops, smartphones, USB Wi-Fi adapters) are up to date.
