4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Pyle PMXU83BT audio mixer:

1. Power Connection: Connect the included 4-pin power adapter cable to the DC IN port on the mixer and plug it into a 100-240V power outlet. Ensure the power switch is in the OFF position before connecting.
2. Initial Power On: Once connected, switch the Power ON/OFF button to ON. The mixer's LCD display and LED indicators should illuminate.
3. Input Connections:
   • Microphones/Line Devices: Connect microphones or line-level instruments to the XLR/1/4'' Combo Audio LINE/Microphone Inputs (Channels 1-4). If using condenser microphones, activate the +48V Phantom Power Control.
   • External Audio Devices: Use the RCA (L/R) Inputs or 1/4'' Mono + Stereo Inputs for connecting other audio sources like CD players, media players, or other instruments.
4. Output Connections: Connect your main speakers or amplifier to the (2) 1/4'' (L/R) MAIN Outputs. For monitoring, connect headphones to the 1/4'' Headphone Jack.
5. Computer Connection (Optional): Use the provided USB cable to connect the mixer's USB Interface to your computer for direct recording or playback.

5. Operating the Mixer

This section provides guidance on operating the Pyle PMXU83BT mixer for various audio tasks.

5.1. Basic Mixing

1. Adjusting Input Gain: Use the GAIN knob for each channel to set the input level. Adjust until the PEAK LED briefly flashes, then reduce slightly to avoid clipping.
2. Equalization (EQ): Use the HIGH, MID, and LOW knobs to adjust the tone of each channel. These provide -15/+15dB adjustment for fine-tuning.
3. Channel Level: Use the LEVEL knob for each channel to control its volume in the main mix.
4. Main Output Level: Use the STEREO Level Fader/Slider to control the overall output volume of the mixer. Monitor the Output Signal Level Indication LEDs to prevent clipping.

5.2. Using Digital Effects (FX)

1. Select Program: Use the PROGRAM knob to select one of the 16 DSP digital multi-effects. The selected program number will be displayed on the LCD.
2. Adjust FX/SEND: Use the FX/SEND knob on each channel to send a portion of that channel's signal to the effects processor.
3. Adjust FX Level: Use the FX Level knob to control the overall volume of the applied effect in the main mix.
4. Adjust Repeat: Use the REPEAT knob to control the repetition or decay of the selected effect.

5.3. USB/MP3 Player Operation

1. Insert USB: Insert a USB flash drive containing MP3 or WAV audio files into the USB Interface port.
2. Playback Controls: Use the play/pause, skip tracks (previous/next), and mode buttons on the USB Player section to control playback.
3. Bluetooth Streaming: Select Bluetooth mode using the MODE button. The mixer's Bluetooth network name is 'KT-08UP'. Pair your device (smartphone, tablet, laptop) with the mixer to stream audio wirelessly. Bluetooth Version: 4.0, Wireless Range: 15'+ ft.

6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Pyle PMXU83BT mixer, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surface of the mixer. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or strong chemicals, as they may damage the finish or internal components.

  • Verify your device's Bluetooth is enabled and searching for 'KT-08UP'.
  • Move your device closer to the mixer (within 15 ft+ range).
  • Disconnect and re-pair the Bluetooth connection.
• USB Playback/Recording Issues:
  • Ensure the USB flash drive is properly inserted and contains compatible MP3/WAV files.
  • For computer connection, verify the USB cable is securely connected and your computer recognizes the mixer as an audio device.
