5. Setup and Installation
Important: Ensure power is OFF at the circuit breaker before proceeding with installation.
- Mounting Location: Select a suitable outdoor location for the spotlight. The fixture is designed for pole mount or surface mount directly to electrical boxes or posts with a 1/2" threaded bushing.
- Electrical Connection:
- This is a 120V AC fixture and requires line voltage wiring. It is not compatible with low voltage landscape lighting systems.
- Install a waterproof junction box at the chosen mounting location.
- The fixture has a 1/2" NPS threaded male fitting. Connect this fitting to the waterproof junction box. Note that NPS threads are straight, while most electrical boxes use NPT (tapered) threads. While they will engage, a secure, watertight seal requires careful application of waterproof sealant.
- Use the provided locknut (or a suitable alternative that threads correctly onto the NPS fitting) on the outside of the box to secure the fixture.
- Connect the fixture's wires to the main power supply wires within the junction box. Ensure proper grounding.
- Consider installing a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) upstream of the switch for added safety.
- Aiming the Light: Adjust the fixture to the desired angle using the adjustable knuckle mount. Ensure the mounting is rigid enough to withstand environmental factors like wind and rain to prevent the beam from shifting.
- Sealant Application: Apply waterproof sealant around all connections, especially where the 1/2" NPS thread meets the junction box, to maintain the IP65 rating and prevent water ingress.
- Power On: Once installation is complete and all connections are secure and sealed, restore power at the circuit breaker.

6. Operating Instructions
The GKOLED 30W Bullet LED Spotlight operates by direct electrical connection. There are no user-adjustable controls on the fixture itself.
- Power On/Off: The light will turn on when power is supplied to the circuit it is connected to. It will turn off when power is disconnected. This can be controlled via a wall switch, a timer, or a photocell sensor (not included).
- Beam Adjustment: The angle of the light can be adjusted manually by loosening the knuckle joint, repositioning the fixture, and then tightening the joint securely.

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your GKOLED spotlight.
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the lens and housing with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt, dust, and debris. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure power is off before cleaning.
- Inspection: Annually inspect the fixture and wiring for any signs of damage, wear, or loose connections. Check the integrity of waterproof seals.
- No User-Serviceable Parts: The LED module and driver are integrated and not designed for user replacement. Do not attempt to open the sealed housing.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Light does not turn on. | No power supply; loose wiring; faulty switch/sensor; circuit breaker tripped. | Check power supply, wiring connections, switch/sensor functionality, and reset circuit breaker. Consult a qualified electrician if necessary. |
| Light flickers or blinks. | Unstable power supply; loose connection; internal component issue. | Verify stable power. Check all wiring connections for tightness. If flickering persists, contact customer support. |
| Water inside the fixture. | Improper sealing during installation; damaged housing. | Immediately disconnect power. Inspect seals and connections. Re-seal or replace the fixture if damage is found. |
| Light output is dim. | Dirty lens; power supply issue. | Clean the lens. Verify stable power supply. |
