Important Safety Instructions
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, injury to persons, or damage to the cooktop, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
- Read all instructions before using the appliance.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or the appliance in water or other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
- The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
- Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
- Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "off", then remove plug from wall outlet.
- Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
- The cooking surface can remain hot even after cooking. Exercise caution.
- Only use induction-compatible cookware. If a magnet sticks to the bottom of a pan, the pan will work with induction.
Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the cooktop from its packaging. Retain packaging materials for future storage or transport if needed.
- Placement: Place the induction cooktop on a flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit. Do not block the air vents located on the bottom or sides of the cooktop.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet meets the power requirements of the cooktop (120V AC, 60Hz).
- Cookware Compatibility: Before use, verify that your cookware is induction-compatible. Induction cooktops require cookware made of ferromagnetic materials (e.g., cast iron, magnetic stainless steel). A simple test is to place a magnet on the bottom of your pan; if it sticks, the pan is compatible. The cooktop is compatible with induction pans ranging from 8 inches to 12 inches in diameter.

Cleaning
- Always unplug the cooktop from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Wipe the ceramic glass surface with a soft, damp cloth and a mild detergent. For stubborn stains, a non-abrasive ceramic cooktop cleaner can be used.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals, as these can scratch or damage the surface.
- Wipe the control panel and exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Ensure no liquid enters the internal components.
- Never immerse the cooktop in water or any other liquid.
Storage
When not in use, store the cooktop in a cool, dry place. Ensure it is clean and dry before storing. Protect the ceramic glass surface from scratches during storage.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Cooktop does not turn on. | Not plugged in; power outage; faulty outlet. | Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Check circuit breaker. |
| Cooktop turns on but does not heat. | Incompatible cookware; pan not centered; pan too small/large. | Use induction-compatible cookware (magnet sticks to bottom). Ensure pan is centered on the cooking zone. Use pans between 8" and 12" in diameter. |
| Display shows an error code. | Overheating; sensor error; pan detection issue. | Refer to the specific error code in the full product manual (if available) or contact customer support. Often, unplugging and replugging the unit can reset it. Ensure proper ventilation. |
| Unusual noise during operation. | Normal fan operation; cookware vibration. | A low humming or buzzing sound is normal for induction cooktops due to the fan and electromagnetic field. This is not a defect. |
