The VODESON Wireless Doorbell system includes a portable receiver and a waterproof push button, designed for convenience and reliability in various environments.

4. Safety Information

5. Setup and Installation

5.1. Receiver (Chime Unit) Setup

  1. Open the battery compartment on the back of the receiver unit.
  2. Insert 3 AA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the battery compartment securely.
  4. Place the receiver in a central location within your home or office, ensuring it is within range of the push button. Avoid placing it near large metal objects or thick walls that may obstruct the signal.

5.2. Push Button (Transmitter) Setup

  1. The push button typically comes with a pre-installed CR2032 battery. If not, open the back cover and insert a CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
  2. Close the back cover firmly to maintain its waterproof seal.

5.3. Mounting the Push Button

Choose a flat, vertical surface near your entrance, ensuring it is at a convenient height for visitors.

You have two mounting options:

  • Using Double-sided Adhesive Tape:
    1. Clean the mounting surface thoroughly to ensure it is dry and free of dust or grease.
    2. Peel off one side of the protective film from the adhesive tape and firmly attach it to the back of the push button.
    3. Peel off the other side of the protective film and press the push button firmly onto the desired mounting surface for at least 30 seconds.
  • Using Screws:
    1. Mark the positions for the screw holes on the mounting surface using the push button's back plate as a template.
    2. Drill pilot holes if necessary and insert wall anchors.
    3. Secure the back plate of the push button to the wall using the provided screws.
    4. Attach the push button unit to its back plate.

5.4. Pairing the Units (If Necessary)

Your doorbell units are usually pre-paired from the factory. If they do not connect, or if you wish to pair additional push buttons or receivers, follow these steps:

  1. Ensure the receiver has fresh batteries installed.
  2. Press and hold the 'Volume' button on the receiver for approximately 5 seconds until you hear a 'ding' sound and the LED indicator flashes. This indicates it is in pairing mode.
  3. Within 10 seconds, press the push button once. The receiver will chime, indicating successful pairing.
  4. Test the connection by pressing the push button. The receiver should chime.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Changing Melodies

To select a different melody:

  1. Press the 'Melody Selection' button (often marked with a musical note icon) on the receiver unit.
  2. Each press will cycle through the available melodies. Stop when you hear your desired chime.
  3. The selected melody will be saved automatically.

6.2. Adjusting Volume

To adjust the volume level:

  1. Press the 'Volume Control' button (often marked with a speaker icon) on the receiver unit.
  2. Each press will cycle through the 4 to 5 available volume levels (including mute).
  3. Select the volume level that suits your preference.

6.3. LED Flash Indicator

When the push button is pressed, the receiver unit's LED lights will flash simultaneously with the chime, providing a visual alert.

7. Maintenance

7.1. Battery Replacement

  • Receiver: When the chime volume becomes low or the LED indicator dims, it's time to replace the 3 AA batteries. Follow the instructions in Section 5.1.
  • Push Button: If the doorbell fails to ring or the transmission range decreases significantly, the CR2032 battery in the push button may need replacement. Follow the instructions in Section 5.2.

7.2. Cleaning

Wipe the doorbell units with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the surface or internal components. For the waterproof push button, a damp cloth can be used, but ensure it is dried afterwards.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your VODESON Wireless Doorbell, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
