5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Mouse

To maintain optimal performance and hygiene, regularly clean your MX Master 2S mouse:

  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or an alcohol-based cleaner to wipe the surface.
  • Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Use a dry cotton swab or compressed air to clean around the scroll wheel and sensor area.

5.2 Battery Care

The integrated Lithium Polymer battery is designed for long life. To prolong battery health:

  • Avoid extreme temperatures.
  • Charge the mouse when the battery indicator is low, but it is not necessary to fully discharge it before recharging.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Mouse Not Responding

  • Ensure the mouse is turned on.
  • Check battery level and charge if necessary.
  • If using the Unifying Receiver, ensure it is securely plugged into a USB port. Try a different USB port.
  • If using Bluetooth, ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your computer and the mouse is paired. Try re-pairing the mouse.
  • Use the Easy-Switch button on the bottom of the mouse to cycle through connection channels (1, 2, 3) to ensure you are on the correct channel for your device.

6.2 Cursor Movement is Erratic or Inaccurate

  • Clean the optical sensor on the bottom of the mouse.
  • Ensure the surface you are using is clean and free of debris.
  • Adjust the DPI settings in Logitech Options software.
  • Avoid using the mouse on highly reflective or transparent surfaces without Darkfield technology enabled (though MX Master 2S is designed for this, extreme conditions can still affect performance).

6.3 Logitech Flow Not Working

  • Ensure Logitech Options software is installed on all computers you wish to use Flow with.
  • Verify that all computers are on the same network (Wi-Fi or Ethernet).
  • Check Flow settings within Logitech Options to ensure it is enabled and configured correctly for each computer.
