1. Important Safety Instructions
Please read all instructions carefully before using the Imetec SM 1000 Soup Maker. Retain this manual for future reference. Incorrect operation can cause damage to the appliance or personal injury.
- Always ensure the appliance is placed on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface.
- Do not immerse the main unit (containing electrical components) in water or any other liquid. Refer to cleaning instructions.
- Keep hands and utensils out of the jug during operation to prevent injury and damage to the blades.
- Exercise extreme caution when handling hot liquids and steam. The jug and its contents will be hot after cooking.
- Ensure the lid is securely closed before starting any program.
- Unplug the appliance from the power outlet when not in use, before cleaning, and before assembling or disassembling parts.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

2. Product Overview

3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove all packaging materials and promotional labels from the appliance.
- Check that all components are present and undamaged.
3.2 Initial Cleaning
- Before first use, clean the inside of the stainless steel jug with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
- Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
- Ensure all parts are completely dry before assembly and use.
3.3 Assembly
- Place the stainless steel jug onto a stable surface.
- Align the main unit (with the blades) over the jug and lower it until it sits securely. Ensure the handle of the main unit aligns with the handle of the jug.
- Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.

4. Operating Instructions
The Imetec SM 1000 features three automatic programs and a pulse function for versatile cooking.
4.1 Control Panel Overview

- MENU Button: Cycles through the automatic programs.
- START/STOP Button: Initiates or cancels a selected program.
- PULSE Button: Provides short bursts of blending for manual control.
- VELLUTATE Program: For pureed soups, vegetable purees, coulis, and fruit purees (21 minutes).
- ZUPPE Program: For broths and composite soups (28 minutes).
- FRULLATI Program: For frappés, desserts, appetizers, smoothies, mousses, and cake batters (2 minutes).
4.2 General Operation Steps
- Prepare your ingredients: Wash, peel, and chop vegetables or fruits into small, uniform pieces (approximately 1-2 cm).
- Add ingredients to the stainless steel jug. Ensure the liquid level is between the MIN (1300ml) and MAX (1600ml) fill lines. Overfilling or underfilling can affect performance and safety.
- Securely place the main unit onto the jug.
- Plug the appliance into a power outlet. The display will illuminate.
- Press the MENU button repeatedly to select your desired program (Vellutate, Zuppe, or Frullati). The corresponding indicator light will illuminate.
- Press the START/STOP button to begin the program. The display will show the remaining time.
- The appliance will automatically cook and blend according to the selected program. Do not open the lid during operation.
- Once the program is complete, the appliance will beep, and the display will show 'END'.
- Carefully unplug the appliance. Using oven mitts, remove the main unit from the jug and pour out the contents. Be aware of hot steam and liquids.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your appliance.
5.1 Cleaning the Jug and Blades
- Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Remove any remaining food from the jug.
- Fill the jug with warm, soapy water. You can use a soft brush to clean around the blades carefully.
- WARNING: Do not immerse the main unit (with the blades and electrical components) in water. Clean the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth.
- Rinse the inside of the jug thoroughly.
- Dry all parts completely before storing.
5.2 Exterior Cleaning
- Wipe the exterior surfaces of the appliance with a soft, damp cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish.
6. Troubleshooting
