4. Setup Instructions

  1. Transmitter Placement: Place the transmitter unit on a stable surface or install it into a standard equipment rack using the provided rackmount kit. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
  2. Antenna Connection: Screw the two antennas securely into the antenna ports on the rear of the transmitter. Position them vertically for optimal signal reception.
  3. Power Connection: Connect the power adapter to the DC power socket on the transmitter and plug it into a suitable power outlet.
  4. Audio Input: Connect your audio source (e.g., mixing console, audio interface) to the Left and Right channel inputs on the rear of the transmitter using the provided cables.
  5. Bodypack Batteries: Open the battery compartment on each bodypack receiver and insert two AA batteries, observing correct polarity.
  6. Earphone Connection: Plug the earphones into the headphone output jack on each bodypack receiver.
  7. Power On: Turn on the transmitter and then each bodypack receiver.
  8. Frequency Synchronization:
    • Automatic Scan: On the transmitter, press the "Set" button to initiate an automatic frequency scan. The system will select the clearest available frequency.
    • Manual Selection: Alternatively, use the left/right selection knob on the transmitter to manually choose a frequency. Hold the knob down to confirm your selection.
    Ensure the bodypack receivers are within range and will automatically synchronize to the selected frequency. Verify the RF indicator on the bodypack is lit.

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Adjusting Transmitter Input Level: Use the Left and Right volume controls on the rear of the transmitter to adjust the input audio level. Monitor the level indicators on the LCD screen to prevent clipping.
  2. Adjusting Bodypack Volume: Use the combined switch/volume adjustment knob on the bodypack receiver to control the listening volume of your earphones.
  3. Monitoring Audio: Connect headphones to the 6.5mm jack on the front of the transmitter to monitor the audio being sent to the bodypacks. Adjust the headphone volume using the dedicated knob.
  4. Changing Frequencies During Operation: If interference occurs, you can re-scan for a clear frequency using the "Set" button on the transmitter. The bodypacks will automatically follow the transmitter's frequency change.
