Setup

  1. Unpack the Keyboard: Carefully remove the GAMDIAS Hermes GKB2000 keyboard and any included accessories from its packaging.
  2. Connect to Computer: Plug the USB connector of the keyboard into an available USB port on your computer. The keyboard is plug-and-play, and your operating system should automatically detect and install the necessary drivers.

Operating Instructions

Macro Key Assignment

The Hermes GKB2000 features 13 dedicated macro keys: five 'G' keys on the left side, six 'M' keys below the space bar, and two additional 'M' keys near the arrow keys. These keys can be programmed using the GAMDIAS HERA software to execute complex commands, key sequences, or launch applications.

  • On-the-Fly Macro Recording: The keyboard supports on-the-fly macro recording without the HERA software running. Refer to the HERA software manual for detailed instructions on this feature.
  • HERA Software Macro Management: For advanced macro creation, editing, and management, use the HERA software. This allows for labeling macros, organizing them into folders, and adding specific actions like delays, loops, sounds, and mouse tracking.

Backlighting Control

Features

Cherry MX Red Switches

The Hermes GKB2000 is equipped with full Cherry MX Red mechanical switches, known for their linear feel and low actuation force. The keyboard includes 512KB of onboard memory, capable of storing up to 10 different user profiles. Integrated Connectivity

Maintenance

  • Cleaning the Keyboard:

Keys Not Working or Inputting Incorrectly:
  • Check for any physical obstructions under the keycaps.
  • Ensure the keyboard is clean and free of debris.

  • Verify that no macro profiles are active that might be remapping the keys unexpectedly.
Backlighting Not Working or Incorrect:
