  • Read all instructions before using the oven.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • To protect against electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug, or any part of the oven in water or other liquid.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
  • The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause hazards.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
  • Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
  • Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
  • Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "OFF", then remove plug from wall outlet.
  • Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
  • Oversize foods or metal utensils must not be inserted in a toaster oven as they may create a fire or risk of electric shock.
  • A fire may occur if the oven is covered or touching flammable material, including curtains, draperies, walls, and the like, when in operation.
  • Do not place any materials other than manufacturer's recommended accessories in the oven when not in use.

Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the oven and all accessories from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport if needed.
  2. Placement: Place the oven on a stable, level, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is adequate clearance (at least 10-15 cm) on all sides and above the oven for proper ventilation. Do not place it near flammable materials like curtains or walls.
  3. First Use (Burn-off): Before first use, operate the oven empty for approximately 10-15 minutes at the maximum temperature setting (250°C) with both heating elements active. This helps to burn off any manufacturing residues and protective oils. A slight odor or smoke may be present during this process; ensure the area is well-ventilated.
  4. Power Connection: Ensure the oven is switched off (timer knob set to 'OFF') before plugging the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

The Mistral MO90i oven features two control knobs for easy operation:

1. Temperature Control Knob

This knob allows you to select the desired cooking temperature from 100°C to 250°C. Turn the knob clockwise to increase the temperature.

2. Timer Knob with Heating Functions

This knob serves two purposes: setting the cooking time and selecting the heating elements.

  • Timer: Set the desired cooking time up to 60 minutes. The oven will automatically switch off and a bell will sound when the set time has elapsed. To turn off the oven manually before the timer finishes, turn the knob counter-clockwise to the "OFF" position.
  • Heating Functions: The timer knob also controls which heating elements are active.
    • Upper Heating: Activates the top heating element, ideal for browning or grilling.
    • Lower Heating: Activates the bottom heating element, suitable for baking bases or gentle heating.
    • Upper and Lower Heating: Activates both heating elements for even cooking and baking.

General Cooking Steps:

  1. Place the wire rack and/or baking tray into the desired position within the oven.
  2. Place your food item on the baking tray or wire rack.
  3. Close the oven door securely.
  4. Set the Temperature Control Knob to the desired temperature.
  5. Set the Timer Knob to the desired cooking time and select the appropriate heating function (Upper, Lower, or Both). The oven will begin heating.
  6. When the timer reaches "OFF", the oven will switch off automatically and a bell will sound.
  7. Carefully remove the cooked food using oven mitts or heat-resistant gloves.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your oven.

  1. Before Cleaning: Always unplug the oven from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may damage the finish.
  3. Interior: The interior walls can be wiped with a damp cloth and mild detergent. For stubborn stains, a non-abrasive oven cleaner designed for small appliances may be used, following the product's instructions. Ensure all cleaner residue is removed.
  4. Baking Tray and Wire Rack: These accessories can be washed in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before returning to the oven.
  5. Crumb Tray: Regularly remove and clean the crumb tray to prevent grease buildup and potential fire hazards.
  6. Do Not Immerse: Never immerse the oven unit, power cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
  7. Storage: When not in use, ensure the oven is clean and dry. Store it in a cool, dry place.
