- Lens: Captures images.

Setup
1. Inserting the Battery
- Open the battery compartment cover located on the bottom of the camera.
- Insert the supplied lithium battery, ensuring correct orientation according to the polarity indicators.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
- Charge the battery using the provided USB cable and a compatible USB power adapter. The charging indicator will light up during charging and turn off when complete.
2. Loading Instax Square Film
- Open the film compartment cover on the back of the camera.
- Align the yellow mark on the film pack with the yellow mark on the camera.
- Insert the film pack straight into the compartment. Do not press down on the film pack.
- Close the film compartment cover. The camera will automatically eject the black film cover sheet.

3. Inserting a MicroSD Card (Optional)
The camera has internal memory, but a MicroSD card can be used for additional storage.
- Locate the MicroSD card slot, usually near the battery compartment.
- Insert the MicroSD card with the contacts facing down until it clicks into place.
4. Initial Settings
Upon first power-on or after a battery change, you may need to set the date and time. Follow the on-screen prompts using the control dial.
Operating the Camera
1. Powering On/Off
Press and hold the power button (usually located near the lens or on the side) to turn the camera on or off.
2. Taking Pictures
- Frame your shot using the LCD screen.
- Press one of the shutter buttons to capture the image.
- The captured image will appear on the LCD screen for review.
3. Using the LCD Screen and Control Dial
The LCD screen displays various information and allows interaction with the camera's functions.
- Navigation: Use the outer ring of the control dial to move through menu options or images.
- Selection: Press the central "MENU OK" button to confirm a selection or access the main menu.
- Back: The curved arrow button typically functions as a "back" or "cancel" button.
4. Applying Filters and Editing
After taking a picture, you can apply various creative filters and make basic edits before printing.
- After capturing an image, select the editing icon (often represented by a brush or palette).
- Use the control dial to browse through available filters (e.g., Vivid, Sepia, Monochrome) and adjustments (e.g., brightness, vignette).
- Preview the changes on the LCD screen.
- Confirm your selections.
5. Printing Photos
The hybrid nature of the SQ10 allows you to choose which photos to print.
- After capturing or selecting an image from memory, press the print button (often indicated by a printer icon).
- Confirm the print command. The camera will then eject the printed photo.
- Allow the photo to develop for a few minutes. Do not shake the print.
6. Saving Images
Images are automatically saved to the internal memory or the inserted MicroSD card.
- You can review saved images by entering playback mode (often indicated by a play icon).
- To transfer images to a computer, connect the camera via USB or remove the MicroSD card and insert it into a card reader.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Camera
- Wipe the camera body with a soft, dry cloth.
- For the lens, use a lens cleaning cloth and lens cleaning fluid if necessary. Avoid touching the lens directly.
- Keep the film ejection slot clear of dust and debris.
2. Battery Care
- Recharge the battery regularly.
- If not using the camera for an extended period, remove the battery.
- Store the battery in a cool, dry place.
3. Film Storage
- Store unused film packs in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and high temperatures.
- Do not open the film pack until you are ready to load it into the camera.
