Setup

1. Battery Installation:

   Locate the battery compartment on the camera. Open the latch and insert the 8 included AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment. Close the compartment securely.

2. SD Card Installation:

   Insert the 8GB SD card into the designated SD card slot. The camera supports SDHC cards up to 32GB. Ensure the card is inserted correctly until it clicks into place.
3. Mounting the Camera:

   Use the adjustable mounting strap to secure the camera to a tree or post. Thread the strap through the slots on the back of the camera and tighten it firmly. Position the camera to cover the desired area. The camera also features a security locking system with capability for a Python cable (cable not included) for added security.

4. Initial Power On:

   Open the camera's front cover to access the control panel. Press the POWER button to turn on the camera. The internal display will illuminate, showing current settings.

• Battery Replacement: When the battery indicator on the display shows low power, replace all 8 AA batteries with new ones. Do not mix old and new batteries or different battery types.
• SD Card Management: Regularly check the SD card capacity. Format the SD card periodically to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Always turn off the camera before inserting or removing the SD card.
• Storage: When not in use for extended periods, remove the batteries and SD card and store the camera in a cool, dry place.

Troubleshooting

• Camera Not Powering On:

  Check battery installation and ensure batteries are fresh. Verify the battery compartment is securely closed.

• Poor Image/Video Quality:

  Ensure the lens is clean and free of obstructions. Check that the camera is within the optimal range of the subject. Verify settings for resolution and exposure.

• No Detections/Missed Events:

  Confirm the camera is in an active mode (not off or in setup). Check the detection range and sensitivity settings. Ensure there are no immediate obstructions in front of the PIR sensor.
