Setup

1. Unboxing and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure the following items are present:

  • MPA100BT Portable PA System
  • Wireless Microphone
  • USB Receiver for Wireless Microphone
  • Power Cord
  • User Manual (this document)

2. Charging the Unit

Before first use, fully charge the internal Lead Acid battery. Connect the supplied power cord to the AC inlet on the rear panel of the MPA100BT and then to a suitable power outlet. The 'CHARGE' indicator on the battery status display will illuminate during charging.

3. Connecting the Wireless Microphone

Insert the USB receiver for the wireless microphone into the 'WIRELESS SYSTEM' USB port on the rear panel. Power on the microphone (requires 2 AA batteries, not included in product data but common for wireless mics). The system should automatically pair.

4. Bluetooth Pairing

To stream audio wirelessly from a smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled device:

  1. Press the 'BT/AUX' button on the rear panel to activate Bluetooth mode. The Bluetooth indicator will flash.
  2. On your device, search for 'BEHRINGER MPA100BT' in the Bluetooth settings.
  3. Select the device to pair. The Bluetooth indicator on the MPA100BT will become solid when successfully paired.

1. Rear Panel Controls Overview

2. Input Connections

  • MIC 1 / MIC 2: XLR/TRS combo jacks for connecting wired microphones or instruments. Adjust individual levels using the 'LEVEL' knobs.
  • BT/AUX: RCA inputs for connecting external audio sources (e.g., CD player, laptop) via cable. Use the 'LEVEL' knob for this input.
  • WIRELESS SYSTEM: USB port for the Behringer ULM digital wireless microphone receiver.

3. Volume Control

Adjust the overall output volume using the 'MAIN LEVEL' knob. Individual input levels can be adjusted using their respective 'LEVEL' knobs.

4. Music/Speech Mode

Toggle the 'MUSIC/SPEECH' switch to optimize the sound profile for either music playback or vocal clarity during speeches.

5. Portability Features

The MPA100BT is designed for easy transport with a retractable handle and integrated wheels. This allows for convenient movement of the unit without lifting.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure no liquids enter the unit.

2. Battery Care

  • No Sound: Verify all 'LEVEL' knobs and 'MAIN LEVEL' are turned up. Check microphone and auxiliary input connections. Ensure Bluetooth is correctly paired and audio is playing on the source device.
  • Wireless Microphone Issues: Ensure microphone batteries are fresh and correctly inserted. Check that the USB receiver is properly connected to the 'WIRELESS SYSTEM' port.
  • Bluetooth Connection Failure: Ensure no other devices are currently paired. Try unpairing and re-pairing the device. Move the source device closer to the MPA100BT.
