Setup
Proper site preparation and assembly are crucial for the stability and longevity of your pool.
1. Site Selection and Preparation
Choose a firm, level surface free of sharp objects, debris, or excessive slopes. A slight incline can cause the pool to bulge or collapse. Clear the area of grass, roots, and rocks. Consider placing a ground cloth or tarp (not included) under the pool for added protection.
2. Unfolding the Pool Liner
Carefully unfold the pool liner in the chosen area. Ensure the drain plug is facing the desired drainage location. Smooth out any wrinkles on the bottom of the pool as much as possible before filling.

3. Inflating the Top Ring
Locate the air valve on the top inflatable ring. Use an air pump (not included) to inflate the ring until it is firm to the touch but not over-inflated. Do not use an air compressor designed for high-pressure items like tires, as this can damage the ring.

4. Connecting the Filter Pump
Attach the filter pump hoses to the inlet and outlet fittings on the pool liner. Secure them with the provided clamps. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks. Place the filter pump on a stable, level surface at least 10 feet away from the pool, following local electrical codes.

5. Filling the Pool
Begin filling the pool with water. As the water level rises, the inflatable top ring will float, and the pool walls will rise. Continuously smooth out any wrinkles on the bottom of the pool from the center outwards. Stop filling when the water reaches the fill line indicated on the pool liner, typically just below the inflatable ring.

Operating the Filter Pump
The included filter pump helps keep your pool water clean. Ensure the pump is connected to a grounded electrical outlet. Do not operate the pump when the pool is in use. Refer to the separate filter pump manual for detailed operating instructions specific to your pump model.
- Initial Operation: After filling the pool, prime the pump by opening the air release valve on top of the filter housing until water flows out. Close the valve and plug in the pump.
- Daily Operation: Run the filter pump for at least 4-6 hours daily to ensure proper water circulation and filtration.
- Filter Cartridge: The filter cartridge should be rinsed with a garden hose every few days and replaced every 2-4 weeks, depending on usage and water quality.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance is essential for clean water and extending the life of your pool.
Water Chemistry
Test your pool water regularly (daily or every other day) using a pool test kit. Maintain the following levels:
- pH: 7.4 - 7.6
- Free Chlorine: 1 - 3 ppm (parts per million)
- Alkalinity: 80 - 120 ppm
Adjust chemicals as needed. Always add chemicals to water, never water to chemicals, and follow manufacturer's instructions for all pool chemicals.
Cleaning the Pool
- Skimming: Use a skimmer net to remove leaves, insects, and other debris from the water surface daily.
- Vacuuming: Periodically vacuum the bottom of the pool to remove settled dirt and debris.
- Wall Cleaning: Brush the pool walls regularly to prevent algae buildup.
Filter Pump Care
Turn off and unplug the pump before performing any maintenance. Regularly inspect hoses and connections for leaks or damage. Clean the filter cartridge as described in the "Operating the Filter Pump" section.
